Horrible. For the second time in one year and a half. We had an 11:15 appt- we weren't called up until almost 12 noon. We had several transactions to take care of after waiting over 2 months for an appointment and even though DAVIS own website only allows one choice when making your appointment AND if you make multiple appointments they will cancel them we were initially told we could only do the one chosen. However, the agent who called us up stated he would try to help us. We successfully took care of my name change and titling a vehicle but then came tags and all of a sudden there was a problem which had to do with insurance. We were told to call our insurance company and come back after 2 pm. We did. We went back and were told by the second agent that problem was corrected. NOW we're told there was another issue that needed to be cleared up but could not tell us what the issue was.. We sat and waited another 45 minutes for an agent to get another DMV DEPARTMENT on the phone. Then the power blinked and it cut our agent off and their computers shutdown. They booted up and then claimed they were offline. Finally a supervisor came out as by now we are getting frustrated and the agent advised all she could do was make us anotherappointment. The supervisor then stated she would send an email to this department. A few minutes later we were advised that it wasn't a problem with the department they were contacting but now it was done other mystery issue they could give no details about and we couldn't get antique tags but they would give us regular tags for 3 months. And yes this vehicle qualifies for antique tags. This same B.S. happened to us a year and a half ago. We still do not know what the problem is and apparently they don't either. DMV has had a year and a half with closed doors- are only serving half the customer load per day thay were prepandemic(according to them) and still SUCK. We finally left DMV at 3:45 but only with 3 month tags on the vehicle with no idea why. We were given 3 different stories in all and none made any sense at all. THE MORE CONTROL GOVERNMENT HAS ...the...
Read moreMy daughter, Reichen Reinacher, who is 15 and a half years old (DOB 04/30/2010), was scheduled to take her learner's permit test at the Chester DMV location. Upon registering her, we asked if they could accommodate her 504 plan (which, to my understanding, all DMVs are required to do) and to administer the test in written form instead of electronically, to which they denied her twice. Then, when taking the electronic test, my daughter was told not to stand up or raise your hand, or it would be considered a violation. While taking the electronic test, while trying to answer one of the questions on the test as answer C, the computer kept putting the answer as A. But due to the instructions which was given to her, she didn't want to raise her hand for fear she would get a violation. In the end, she failed the test with her only wrong answer.Because of a glitch in the system. Then, when speaking to the supervisor about this, the supervisor responded by saying that our daughter should have learned how to raise her hand to deal with the situation, but how could she, if she was instructed, she could not raise her hand or even stand up to get help because it would be a "violation". So now she has to wait fifteen full days to take the test again which, in that part, i'm not disputing that rule, but it's the fact that they put all these restrictions when all they had to do was follow the 504 plan and she could have done the test on a piece of paper. They didn't even explain when they weren't accommodating her 504 plan. Upon doing our own research, because they didn't put her 504 accommodations in place, the DMV should be able to void that failure and have a retake the test next day without penalty, on paper, instead of the electronic form. We believe she was discriminated by not allowing to follow her 504 plan and can and will result in a Civil Suit. Pending...
Read moreI spoke with Elizabeth today regarding a wait of 4 months for a REAL ID. She was extremely rude and as soon as I provided my name she blasted me for calling yesterday and today. I informed her I had called yesterday only, but she kept over talking and would not listen. She kept saying I had already called today, even though I had not. I let her know I had not called and that the person I spoke to yesterday said the system was down so she could not help me. Elizabeth threatened to end the call and wouldn't listen. I asked to speak to her supervisor, but of course she can't transfer to a supervisor. She looked at the system and said the lady I spoke to yesterday sent a message for my case. I thought that was strange because yesterday I asked the representative to search for notes from a sweet lady named Tameka who helped me last Friday and the representative said there was no way to see this in the system. Elizabeth just said there was nothing they could do because the DMV was waiting on an outside party to respond and that everything was backed up. I emphasized that I have been waiting for four months and to just be told to keep waiting was not a solution. Again, she was not willing to take further steps and asked if there was anything else she could help me with. I told her I wanted to speak to the supervisor and she took my number and said the supervisor would call back. Of course, I haven't...
