Salon Vivace at the Jefferson was extremely subpar - especially for a hotel of this caliber.

It is clear the hotel does not care about these facilities whatsoever.

We were sent to the basement where there were some old chairs, dirty old carpet and forms on a table for the spa. This waiting area was right next to the gym which was massive but old. There was no reception to greet us or check us in so we kept on waiting. It wasn’t until I got up and went all the way back behind the gym and around the hallway til I found the salon / spa.

Let me tell you. This spa is an afterthought for the Jefferson Hotel. We had to wait on a bench in the hallway until they were ready for our appointments.

We finally got started (at this time it was about 10 min past our start time) and we had to walk through the ‘main’ area of the spa which was like 4 pedicure stations. There was an extremely loud group of women who had clearly been drinking wine for some time.

During our massages we could hear the women chatting and laughing. I love that they were enjoying themselves and having a wonderful time, but other guests should be able to enjoy their spa experiences, too. There are 0 spa policies here. I have never had a spa experience like this.

The massages were fine and the price point was fine which probably compensated for everything else I listed above. I expected better from a hotel charging nearly $900 or more a night per room.

Like - where were the waiting rooms? Where were the robes? This is what you should be getting when you come to a 4-5 star hotel. You shouldn’t WANT to leave. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

The hotel needs to take more responsibility for their facilities.

My fiancé and I won’t be coming back. Save your time and money.
