Disappointing, to say the least. We have been coming to this restaurant for nearly five years, largely because of the exceptional service provided by our server, Marcio. However, the restaurant is in serious need of updates—there's no ambiance, no music, and only two small televisions playing soccer games, which seem to cater more to the staff than the customers. The real issue, though, is the declining quality of the food. It’s become inconsistent, and recently, when we mentioned the food tasted old and unappetizing, the owner responded by telling us not to order that dish because "that’s just how it’s made here." As a business owner myself, I found this response highly unprofessional. After the other customers had left, I approached the owner privately to express my concerns. The lack of food quality and consistency is a significant problem for this restaurant, and I sincerely hope the owner takes these issues seriously to better serve the Ridgefield, CT, community. Customer service and food quality are the foundation of any successful dining experience, and improvements in these areas are...
Read moreWent on an admittedly busy night. It was the night of the Ridgefield Stroll. 8 teen girls and me; we had a reservation, which was honored. The food was just simply below average. Pizza was average fare, wings were frozen breaded type, poor. The server was nice, but too busy and forgot too many things, like the Shirley temple for the birthday girl. Had to ask again for it. Worst part was the speed of the food coming out of the kitchen. Almost an hour for pizzas and a few other bits. Nothing came out together, everything staggered. Forgotten items, items made incorrectly, and the last food item didn’t come till everyone else was done because either the server didn’t place the order or the kitchen lost the order. It was very unclear. Server told me they have too many take out orders and the kitchen can’t keep up. Atmosphere is terrible. It actually has no atmosphere, couldn’t...
Read moreWent down to Ridgefield for a show at the local playhouse. Needed to stop somewhere for dinner and this place caught our eyes. Looked great and the atmosphere was immediately inviting and it was busy due to community event. The wait was only about ten minutes even with the event, but service thereafter was far from good. There was confusion between waitstaff on who was taking our orders when our drinks should be refilled, and despite allowances made for dietary preferences, orders still too long to fulfill. The waitress who wasn't our main left us with a pitcher of water instead of refilling our glasses when needed. The check took far too long to arrive even when we made contact to get it resolved. The food wasn't bad, but the service is really what brought this score down. Definitely won't be coming back again even though the...
