Lifetime Store — Attraction in Riverdale

I've had a Lifetime shed for about 12 years and realized I needed another to store my summer furniture and toys in. I went to the Riverton store and was shown the options available to me. I already knew what I wanted so the transaction was painless. I don't have a builder gene in me so when I was told it was required they build the foundation for me I had no qualms whatsoever. It was only later that I learned they would also build the shed for me (for an additional fee) again being all thumbs I told them to sign me up. On the agreed to morning of construction Anthony, John, Hayden and Stuard showed up ready to work. It took the four of them about an hour to construct not only the platform but the shed as well. A project, which I am sure, would have taken me several days to accomplish. They cleaned up and hauled away all the garbage from the site but took the time to go through the ins and outs of how the shed works and explained their excellent 10 year warranty. I bought outdoor furniture from this store and the glider bench for OUTDOOR use has had multiple problems. Mainly because they used zinc screws on an outdoor item and zinc screws rust quickly once water hits them. Just in case it wasn't clear, it actually rains outside, that means if you are going to sell a product rated for outdoor use, you have to take that into consideration. Our bench completely fell apart with no screws to hold it together because they rusted in half within a week of use. I called the lifetime store and they sent me a replacement bottom piece but that replacement also had zinc screws in it and it rusted as well. It wasn't until after doing hours of work trying to figure out why it kept having problems that I found out it was the screws all along. I will have to replace all the hardware on this if I want to keep it. After all of these problems it has now been past the 30 days so there is very little likelihood for them to even do anything about...

I needed to replace two bolts on my Lifetime swing set (normal wear and tear) so I called the 800 number on the installation guide thinking "come on, no one is going to answer this". Was I wrong. My call was answered immediately by a super-pleasant woman who was more than happy to quickly help figure out which bolts I needed, get me a price (84 cents each so I ordered extra), and get them shipped fast to my home. The entire call lasted no more than five minutes. Swing set is back up and running. So kudos to whomever I spoke with for being so pleasant and knowledgeable but also kudos to whomever at Lifetime has made it her/his work to make darn sure that a smiling, kind human being is waiting for customer phone calls.
