A blonde worker (whose name I forgot to ask for) approached me and held up some clothing making suggestions. A very sweet interaction. While running the register and the sales floor, she also informed me where the deal of the day tagged items were. When we got to the register her mood seemed to do a 180 and she seemed down and like she was trying to take care of a million different things(if you work retailāyou know), (and other reviews have noted this same thing happening with what Iām assuming is this same person, actually) but nonetheless, she still made me want to return to this location.
My complaint really falls on what appeared to be a staffing issue. A suggestion: hire more people so this woman can continue to drive up sales. Running around the store (while Iām assuming the other workers have their head down) obviously exhausted her. She went from smiley to looking really exhausted in a matter of 10 minutes.
If you donāt take care of your workers, they will move on to somewhere where they are appreciated. I hope she finds a good spot because she was probably one of the nicest workers Iād interacted with in a LONG time⦠just so disappointing to see her running the store by herself while seeing other workers not bother to help her.
AND most of the clothing she suggested, we bought. Iām so sorry for not being able to give her credit. It was Thursday May 29th at about 12 PM if you can look up who was working that day.
If you read until here; retail workers sometimes are working long hours, with other workers that donāt care and they probably get yelled at AT LEAST once per day. Remember that before youāre quick to write something damaging⦠could end up being their job. And no it is not OK for people to be rude to each other, but remember that if someone isnāt giving you 110% it could be for a good reasonā¦especially at a super busy GoodWill.
My heart goes out to that super nice person. I hope things change for you!! Thank you for being...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlease post donation hours! I went into the store to donate once and was told it closed at 5 PM (not 6 PM). The people working there were extremely nice about it so this review is just for lack of transparency about donation windows:
I learned my lesson so I started calling the store number to check donation hours before I headed there, because the donation hours online is either not accurate or not listed. Every time I call, it is EXTREMELY difficult to actually get ahold of someone to ask - the one time I successfully called (another location), I had to redial 5 times but by then it was way too late.
When you call, you get the menu (1 for Goodwill, NOT donation hours, 2 for donation items they accept, and 0 to speak to someone). When I press 0, it rings a few times, and if someone doesn't pick up, there is no answering machine. It just redirects you to the menu and makes you press 0 again. Another time I tried calling during regular hours, and had to press 0 about 10 times before giving up and not coming. Also in no way am I blaming people for not picking up! I understand that store associates are busy but I wish there were some type of answering machine, or being put on hold instead of going through a frustrating experience of the phone redirecting you a million times and basically making you redial (and it makes me feel like I'm being annoying when I constantly am redialing because I am in the car and trying to decide if I should drive over).
My clothes are still sitting in my car and I'm just trying to donate them :(( pls let hours be more accessible I am trying my best already. But also, can someone actually post the hours on here? I still don't know the hours besides 5 PM...

With prices from $8-$10. I know you can come on the day when it's half price but it's a mob scene. Also boxes are tape shut were in a display case and they swear up-and-down to you that they are new and that they came from target and that's why they're priced what they are. Then they get upset with you when you open the box only to find out it's used and missing parts. Then they have nothing to say. The bottom line is goodwill is not here to help the community they're only here to help themselves it's a business it's not a not-for-profit. That is why i never donate to Goodwill there's plenty of other places to donate that actually give back to the community much better. They say they help handicap people but rarely ever do I see them working at a Goodwill and I go to Goodwill all over New Jersey and other states. Goodwill it's your company you can do as you wish but please inform the employees to stop bullshitting me every time I come in I don't need to hear the sob stories about how great you are for the community because you're not. OK everybody have...
