Glam Nail Bar — Attraction in Rockville

Update: Please request a specific nail tech when you visit the salon. I made the mistake of not doing that and a new tech did my nails. She removed my gel nails by forcefully scraping/stripping them rather than soaking them while wrapped in foil. My nails are now torn up and badly damaged. I previously had my nails done by two other nail techs here and they used the soaking technique. This new tech stripped my nails so I'll be treating them at home to grow out the damage.

I recently became a client of this nail bar and I love it. If you care about your nail health, in addition to the aesthetics, this is your place! It's best to schedule an appointment rather than walking in. After over a year of being serviced at a different nail shop along Rockville Pike, I noticed my nails were getting weaker. I previously always had thick, strong nails. During my first visit, the nail tech at Gkam Nail Bar removed all of the acrylic and showed me the damage to my nails. She advised me on ways to strengthen my nails through my diet, and made the recommendation that I only do gel nails. The results have already been fantastic. Wow is my first impression! The atmosphere of the nail salon was very warm and welcoming. There were Christmas and Hanukkah decorations around the salon, but also beautiful regular decorations. The owner Jane took her time in making sure that the salon was beautiful and welcoming and also making sure that it was clean and pristine. There was a lot of different services available as well as different colors and designs. I previously went to the nail salon that’s close by and they did a terrible job. So I went into this with not so great expectations, but Jane blew me away. I asked her to do multiple different designs, Colors and glitters for my acrylic nails that she did. She took her time in making sure that my nails were perfect and beautiful. She also made sure that she wasn’t hurting me and that I loved the nails. I recently moved here and was looking for a new nail salon and I definitely found it. Jane is a hard-working business owner that has been doing nails for a very long time. Top Notch Customer Service! I didn’t believe the reviews because there were just so many 5 star ratings. I have been to so many nail places this year that have treated me so poorly you would think they were doing my nails for free. Not here! I called needing an appointment for a photo shoot and the owner stayed in contact trying her best to fit me in wherever she could to ensure that I got in her chair. She scheduled me as her very first client of the day on a Sunday and got me in and out of there in an hour. She was polite, funny and easygoing. She even recommended a nail shape based on my fingers. I was a bit scared to try a new shape but her recommendation was perfect. Her shop is beautiful and clean....
