Visited this establishment for the first time today and I can honestly say it was the first and last time I will ever be spending my money here. My neighbor invited me out for a Saturday play date for our kids and picked this spot so our kids had plenty of options which there is tons to do.
We started out with arcade games which was the best part of the entire trip because it was not dependent on servers so 10/10 there. After games we decided to move over to bowling and this is where everything goes South. We waited about 30 minutes for a lane to open up and finally got notified it was ready-great- paid and went to our lane. I gave it about 15 minutes before I started to realize there were servers attending to every single lane but ours. So I took it upon myself to get up and inform one of the attendants that we had not been helped, he assured me he would inform someone to come over and get our order started GREAT! 10 minutes passed and yet again I found myself looking left and right to see if anyone was walking our way to assist but no one even looked our way. So I got up once more and decided to escalate the situation to BOH management.
Management quickly took the situation into their own hands to get a server over to our lane to take our order but overall still had to wait 20-25 minutes to get our drink orders in. Orders were placed food came out and we were all happy until our 1-hr lane time came to an end. Mind you food came out 40 minutes into our 1hr. lane time so we still had tons of food on the table. I kid you not even 5 minutes after our lane light went out we had an attendant come inform us that there was a party waiting for our lane so we had to leave. My neighbor kindly told her once we were done eating we would move and at that point I took my 2yr. old and 4yr. old girls to the restroom to prepare for our next move.
Once I got back from the restroom I saw the FOH bowling supervisor at our lane talking to my neighbor. Once I approached the table I asked the supervisor to fill me in and she said there was a party waiting for the lane and we had to move. You could imagine I was furious at this point because I had to BEG for service at our lane, finally got service, and was immediately getting kicked out. She handed me my ticket to pay and when I turned over to get my wallet I noticed all the food on the table that I HAD NOT FINISHED was already picked up by a busboy, so I was LIVID. I had informed her I was NOT done eating but yet all our food and drinks had been picked up. She offered to have our food remade but at that point I was so over the situation and just wanted to leave.
I work in the hospitality industry and I know post-covid times are rough, but this was on another level. I tend to give brick and mortar establishments grace but the service at this establishment was beyond me. If youāre going to kick me out of my lane when I explained to you that we just got our food 20 minutes ago, politely move me to another empty lane- there were empty lanes- for me to finish my meal and not feel RUSHED or irrelevant.
The customer service that has been normalized post-covid is mind blowing. But I promise you Iām not spending a dime at any establishment that doesnāt put their customers first and I mean that coming from management all the way...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe made plans to celebrate my nieceās bday in this place and it was a bad experience from beginning to end. We arrived early to set up and spend time with family and friends, but we mostly spent the entire time chasing employees down to ask questions and get guidance. Our host didnāt have that much experience, so he was not able to help us that much. Later, after we went a couple of times to ask questions and get guidance, they sent another person to help. Did it help? A little bit, but not that much. Even though that the service didnāt meet our expectations, we provided a 20% tip. We arrived to the conclusion that it was not the hostās fault but the companyās fault for no providing training to new employees. To make the experience even more interesting, they messed up our bill at the end and they charged us twice for the tip. We spent about 15 more minutes to resolve this issue. Even with all of this happening, we decided to stay for bowling and continue with my nieceās bday celebration. We didnāt want to be changing venue since we were already there. We decided to give another chance to the location. Well, it was a big mistake. We paid for two lanes and we ordered food. We had to literally be chasing employees down to provide service to the lanes. Our wait fluctuated from 7 minutes to 15 minutes to start bowling again. The food took forever to arrive, almost like 10 minutes before our hour was over. The entire lounge had only two employees to help everyone. We had to walk outside the lounge area to ask for help and to get our food served. The funny thing is that there were about 8-9 employees gathered around one person watching videos while other areas, such as the lounge, was struggling to provide service to customers. I asked, if one of those employees that was watching videos was able to go inside the lounge and assist, and I was told that they can only be in the main lanes. I wondered how can they have 8 employees doing nothing while customers were needing in the lounge for food and technical assistance. We didnāt really enjoy the place and the service provided was awful. We asked to talk to the manager Andrew and he only said sorry and he offered a discount next time you come. We didnāt want a discount, we just wanted to have a good time and be able to get a good service. He had the opportunity at that moment to make our experience better, but he decided not to go that route. He just apologized. Definitely, this is not a place that I will come back again. It was not a good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreApril 2024 update: The place has received a few more games and some updates since my last update. Still a great place to take the family.
In our visits, my son tried his hand at bowling and enjoyed laser tag with his friends. My son later remarked at how awesome the food was, because he and his friends were starving after 2 hours š
Meanwhile, my wife with her group of four beat the 1 hour time on the escape room. š
Update 11/29/2017: We tested out the new #Escapology rooms tonight and they are awesome! We had a group of 16 and they staff accommodated us into the Antidote and the Under Pressure rooms. Under Pressure is the hardest but my boys were able to get out with just under 5 minutes remaining.
The #Escapology is great and the price per person is $29 which is $3 less than a place I attended in Dallas. The staff allowed me to see the control room and it was awesome. The kids that run this place are very well versed in customer service. One of the Gamemasters (Blaze) was superb in explaining everything and was great at what he did. He knows his purpose for being there is to make people happy!
There are lots to do; Bowling, bull riding, indoor go-carts, laser tag, jump area, arcades, party rooms, pool tables and even a restaurant. It's an awesome place to go on dates, have parties and just hang out.
This is a nice place, big and spacious and very clean as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I was inside the place for only a minute when 3 different workers asked me if I needed anything or needed any help. Here's the thing, I was in essence a "secret shopper."
I went to Shenanigans to post 4 US flags at the entrance for President's Day per the request of the owner but needed to know where exactly to post them. So I went inside to ask and that's when I encountered the friendly staff.
Great people, great service and a cool looking place. Apart from the fact that they are Patriotic! :)
Adding to my review: took my youth group to Shenanigans and we were there for 4 hours and the kids had a blast! It was so awesome. We bowled, we did the go-carts, laser tag, bow and arrow shooting and all the games! The...
