We do enjoy most of the attractions for the kids here. The composite cork like flooring allows for flooding and gravel like material to attach to your kids hands/shoes. Outside of that, our toddler is able to escape from the grounds, where the chain link fence meets the angle iron fencing. Though if you're an attentive/reliable parent, that shouldn't be much of a problem. I.E.: don't just think your kid is always safe, while you scroll on the phone. The demeanor of most parents is "above board", and respectful to each other and the children. We would encourage nearly any parent with neurodivergent kids to feel comfortable bringing them to see some different attractions. There are certainly many things we have to keep our kid off, but there's other items to stimulate their type of senses. Our favorites are the xylophone style noise makers, and the rotating spherical chair rides. At least 3 different types of slide, various climbing thrills, and swings that are usually open before too long of a wait. Benches/trashcans dotted around the perimeter. Only issue we really noticed was the flooring and parking setup. Only 2 handicap spots that we saw, and the turn in from the main road is unassuming/tight fitting. Be weary as some trucks have torn up some of the grass/soil next to the "up-front" spots. We haven't seen any concerns for safety, outside of what was said prior. Maybe one last thing to mention, it can be a dirty spot. Expect to wash/clean your kids up after visiting, though most should do that anyways since it's a public space with possible contaminants. Read moreWhat I like most about this play area is that its covered so children can play during the summer without worrying about getting sunburn. The area is relatively well-maintained, self-contained with a fence in case you have more than one child to look after and there are lots of benches for adults who don't have to chase after a toddler or two. The restrooms are clean as are the play areas but sadly some of the ground cover is starting to show lots of wear n' tear which makes it uneven turf for toddlers. Like the diversity of solid play equiptment for toddlers and older grade schoolers. Just wish the older kids would be more careful around the little ones and show more patience...
Read moreThis is my niece's favorite park. We have had several picnics and play dates here. It has a variety of built-in games and activities that alway keep her busy. I like that it has clean public restrooms right by the gated entrance to the playground area. But the best part of the park in my opinion is the fact that the entire playground area is covered by a series of large canopies. It cuts down on how often we find ourselves reapplying sunblock. Not only does it prevent sun damage but it stops the playground from becoming superheated by...
