I went here last time with my friends and received excellent service and the food was delicious, especially the mango with sweet sticky rice. I decided to go out for a little family dinner there last night and the service was absolutely awful.
It's not a large place, there were 3 servers, and each server had maybe 3 tables. It started off well enough. We were greeted by our server Mike, got our drinks, then our appetizer ordered. We told him we needed just a few minutes to look over the menu since the menu was quite large. 15 minutes later he still had not come back to our table despite us trying to get his attention. I had 2 kids with me (a baby and a toddler), and they were getting a little rowdy and hungry. He finally brought out our appetizer, and we were able to place our order before he ran off. The food was delivered in a timely manner by another server. Not once did he come to our table and check on us. We ended up just going to the register to order the delicious mango with sticky rice to go, get to go boxes for the leftovers, as well as pay there since he never brought us our ticket. We may still be sitting at that table if we had decided to wait for him to bring us our ticket.
As we were walking out the door, he sent another server after us because he had the audacity to think we were leaving without paying. Maybe he would have known we had already paid if he had actually came to check on us. I used to be a server myself and always leave at least 15% (more if i have my kids with me because they can be loud and make a mess), but i could not bring myself to leave him more than 5%. He did an absolutely horrendous job, and I know he was not busy. We were watching him meander around the restaurant without doing anything. I would definitely come here for the food, but if you get a server named Mike, do yourself a favor and request another server because it will completely ruin your...
Read moreI love Thai food. Just moving to Texas and still looking for any restaurant have a best food for my family’s taste. When I found this restaurant at thr first time it is so delicious, the spice is good the exact amount. We finish our food ofc because it’s good. But when I came back today, omg it’s turn to be the worst food & service that I’ve ever have. I know thai food will be spicy, our country serve food with spicy things too so we could handle spicy ofc. We ordered fried rice and pad thai with medium spicy like number 2 and we even told the server we want it mild because we don’t want the spicy change the taste of the food. But when the food came the food color is soo red and have red chilli all over it we don’t taste anything just spicy. We told server that it’s too spicy we cannot eat it and she just offering get white rice to mixed it with the spicy food instead cook the new dish, we be like what? After my husband get angry and not touching the food at all, finally they agreed ask to recook BUT when the new dish is coming, it looks like they WASH THE RICE and recook with that same rice but been washed. Is it disgusting? The rice is so wet even taste like uncooked rice. My husband is too tired to complaint again and not eat it, just pay the bills because even the waitress says she can’t do anything and just kept say sorry and we really don’t want to make a scene that time, cause we just do a lot errand today with our kids and we want to have a good dinner to end our day but it does ruin our day😭 fortunately, the appetizer is good but once the server ruin the sauce they gave wrong sauce. Maybe the cook is different person that is why the taste SOO DIFFERENT. should do more better or please let whoever cook when I came first time on lunch back. He/she did really good job than whoever cook today, I’m just...
Read moreWas our favorite Asian (Sushi/Thai combo) place since they opened. At the time they were the only option, so thankfully they were deserving of the love. Great menu and great staff.
Was there a couple of weeks ago to pick up our "Go" order and should point out that it was early, just as they opened - so, no excuse for anything other than hot & fresh. Well, guess what.
Got home and very disappointed. The stand out food wreck was the Chicken Satay - very dry, chewy and stick broke while trying to slide the chicken jerky off. Quanties were lacking and basically each item was sadly underwhelming.
That was Bad #1
BTW, this was 2nd disappointment in a row!
Bad #2 was when I called to let them know how disappointed I was. Was not looking for a refund or replacement, just thought that they should know. The guy who took my call was same person who handed me my order. His attitude could best be summed up as if they thought they were still the only show in town. He might as well have said: We got your money, don't care.
Apparently they haven't heard about The Sake Bomb, or The Sushi Box - both wonderful alternatives and now the only 2 choices we consider.
It's not often that I judge my food experience based on Honesty: but, when this guy tried to convince me that they had not given me yesterday's Chicken Satay - even said: "I watched them cook it". Folks, i'm here to tell you that you don't need to be a gourmand to recognize day old over-cooked chicken. Remember, I got there when they opened and not possible to have overcooked - unless your cooking skills are limited to a Suzy Homemaker Oven (obviously dating my consumption experience).
Dishonesty was the final straw for me. Never again!
Must try Sake Bomb or Sushi Box for your...
