Comfy and Cozy as the name suggests, a real go-to for breakfast and lunch. Always great service, and amazing variety of delicious food. I never leave disappointed. Full review: Cozy Corner is always a super solid breakfast / brunch place, no matter which branch. I'll review Edgewater specifically, since I go regularly - probably ever other Sunday! - because it's always such a treat. The ambiance is always bright and cozy, the diner-style tables, booths, and bar are comfy, and the servers are absolutely lovely, efficient, and welcoming. Cozy Corner is always pretty solidly busy especially on weekends, but wait times are generally less than 15 minutes (in my experience). Limited parking lot available next to restaurant, but I believe parking is also available across the street at Devon Hardware. Food is always delicious and quick, and great portions - you really get a great value. This location serves 2 brunch cocktails as well - impressive Bloody Mary (according to my beau) and I can vouch for the delicious (and strong!) Mimosas (the freshly squeezed orange juice is phenomenal on its own, as well). For fun - If you use the "Too Good to Go" app that combats food waste, you can purchase a surprise bag of leftovers from Cozy Corner for $5.99 for pick up in the afternoon. They are quite popular and sell out quickly the night before! Did it once and got loads of delicious Macaroni and Cheese, Hash Browns (my weakness), and a large container of soup. Very fun! And I love that they help combat food waste this way. Breakfast or Lunch, this is an affordable go-to and neighborhood staple. Highly recommend.

It was my favourite diner experience in Chicago. Good ambience, great service and excellent food. Apart from the usual breakfast menu, I loved their skillet menu! It's very satisfying if you want a savory breakfast or brunch (or any meal for that matter!). Oh and did I mention the optimum portion sizes? This mattered a lot to me who isn't a US resident and most definitely isn't used to huge portion sizes in every meal. We were able to finish all the dishes we ordered for ourselves without having any leftovers to be packed in takeaway boxes (and share an extra dish just for the indulgence! ). So on the whole, it checked every box unexpectedly! Now, I'm not in Chicago anymore and I sincerely miss Cosy corner. Can't wait to visit again in the future!

Cozy Corner Diner is by far my favorite diner in all of Chicago. The breakfast here is absolutely awesome, and you definitely need to try the Cinnamon French Toast—it's simply divine. Keep in mind, they close at 3 PM, so make sure you get there before 2 PM to avoid the rush. It's always busy, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food and service. For an extra special experience, ask to be seated in Blanca's section. She is amazing and super friendly, with just the right amount of sassiness to make your visit fun and memorable. Cozy Corner Diner offers not just great food, but a wonderful, lively atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Highly recommended!

I used to live in this neighborhood, so I'm pretty sure I'd been there before, just not in years. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 9:30-9:45 and although they were busy, there was plenty of space and the service was prompt. The prices are reasonable, there are plenty of menu options, and you're given plenty of time to settle in, eat, and enjoy yourself before wrapping up and leaving.

We all ordered the "House Special" which consisted of French toast, two eggs, and a "breakfast meat" (i.e. ham, sausage links, etc.). I enjoyed it, but for those with healthy appetites like myself, 2 slices of French toast wasn't quite enough, but I was satisfied -- although slightly hungry again 15 minutes later. There are meal options where you can get 3+ slices, so I'll have to choose one of those in the future.

Our waitress was very kind, attentive but not too much (lol), and the service was prompt and orderly. It's not an upscale place, but it is family friendly and comfortable -- like a typical diner, but nicer.

Parking is the one thing that wasn't great. They do have a small lot and it was full when we went. So, you may want to utilize the app "Spot Hero." Otherwise, you'll have to search for street parking, which I don't think would be too difficult in that area.

Overall, I would...

I usually don’t write bad reviews but this time i felt like i had to. As soon as we walked in we were seated by the hostess and she asked us what would we want to drink, we told her an OJ. Next thing we know our server came and just placed the oj on the table and threw the straws without greeting us or smile or make any contact. Then finally she came to take our order, and again she didn’t said Hi how are you or something u know.. we got the food, she checked in on us couple of times. After she came to pick up the plates i told her i was going to order a waffle and she left. So the menu has 3 different waffle options so she ASSUMED that i was going to order some kind of waffle and she ordered by herself… later on her coworker noticed that i was looking and standing with the menu so she asked her if i was okey and my server said” yes she ordered the belgum waffle i just haven’t gotten her menu” WHAT?? First of all i never ordered it i never specifically said i want this waffle. Thats so rude like you have no patience. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all so i dont understand. Btw I work as a server long time and i know the situation. I know how much effort i need to give for a customer to have a good experience and to tip me 20%. Im sorry for tipping barely $7 on a $80 bill but u were not...
