Reviewing during COVID-19: Warren Park Ice Skating ring has been a wonderful outdoor entertainment option during the winter. Its one of the few free rings opened in the Chicago area which is greatly appreciated. The ring is well maintained and organized. You get up to 1 1/2 hours of skating time and there is a limited capacity of 50 people inside (even if they are not skating) so the ice isn't to busy.
Do expect long waiting times to access ir during the weekend and on holidays. Be aware that the actual operation hours are 12-7pm.

Read moreThis is such a great skating rink. Admission is free and there are skate rentals if needed for $7 each. There are heat lamps on the sideline for people who arent skating. No concessions during Covid but just bring snacks. There are restrooms inside which is great. The line to get in is really long depending on what time you go but they admit 50 at a time and put people off the ice when they bring the machine out to resurface so everyone has a chance to skate. Read moreGreat neighborhood skating rink, down side very old rental skates some are at least 20 year's old, not enough room to lace up your skates in side or out, almost all of the skate guards stand around and do nothing. They can bearly skate, let alone help anyone who falls, gets hurt or needs a few tips on skating.
