I used to like this place, even though the management was very rude, because they had fresh meat ( due to the volume they sell). They do not have enough people working, and as such you take a number and wait for hour or sometimes two hours ( like today). I took the number and went and did lot of shopping, and I still had to wait for half an hour ( many people got tired and had left) so I was able to buy meat. I wanted two pounds of roasted Turkey breast cold cuts, which the board said is $6.99 a pound, instead I got oven roasted chicken breast for $7.99 for half a pound. He charged me $27.96 for two pounds. When I came back to Wisconsin I realized he gave me chicken instead of Turkey and charged me twice the amount for two pounds. So I called and the guy was very rude, he shouted at me , and said the price is $7.99 a pound and they did not change it on the board. He was beyond rude, and said I could bring one packet back and he’ll refund and slammed the phone. I’m never going back to this store...
Read moreAbsolutely unacceptable experience. We drove over two and a half hours to this store and spent nearly $300 on halal meat, expecting decent service at the very least. My 5-year-old son urgently needed to use the restroom, and although the store clearly has one in the back, the staff refused to let a child use it. When I politely asked why, the employees started yelling at us, completely unprovoked. This was one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful experiences I’ve ever had in any store. The staff were not only rude and aggressive, but lacked basic human compassion. And yet they call themselves Muslims? Where is the hospitality, kindness, or decency our faith teaches? We came with good intentions, supported your business, and this is how we were treated? Shameful. Needless to say, we will never return, and I urge others to think twice before supporting a place that profits from the community but shows no respect toward it—especially families...
Read moreThis spot is great. It's one of the smaller groceries on Devon, but what they lack in space they make up for in sheer variety. This store probably carries the most international assortment of products of any of the stores I've been to in this area, with grocery items from Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Eastern Europe. They also have a small produce section, but the low prices make it totally worth checking out. The store can get a little cramped at the busier hours, but never to a prohibitive point. Be sure to check out the back room with lots of options for whole spices, lentils, and rice; that's also where I've found fufu flour and other African dry goods before. The staff are also phenomenal - friendly, helpful, and they seem genuinely happy to work there. I highly recommend...
