T.J. Maxx — Local services in Rolling Hills Estates

It's pity that I am not allowed to give a minus rating and have to give it a 1 star. My experience with T.J Maxx was pleasant for the most part until today. We encountered a lady clerk today at T.J. Maxx store at 24 Peninsula Center, Rolling Hills, CA 90274 who is obviously a racist and showed. Some anomaly was made during the checkout against my will however she would not admit mistakes made and proceeded to argue with me that I am not being reasonable. How do you argue with a customer? Obviously she really doesn't get the fact that we are the customer and she is the customer service. Even if a customer is incorrect, it is their job to alleviate the situation and embrace to make it right for the customer. It is evident that T.J. Maxx is allowing this sort of behavior towards customers and no follow up. Obviously asking too much... The manager who came to rescue later did not even listen to the entire event and did not know how to resolve the situation. It seems that the manager protected the racist clerk and told me that she was sorry. What a joke. Came in the other day with my boyfriend to grab a few items for someone’s birthday. We were roaming around and this lady who works there was following us around the entire time which was very uncomfortable. Ironically once we were ready to check out, she tells us to go to her when there were others about to tell us to go to them. She just starts off with asking about the credit card which is no issue there. We simply said no and she continues to bombard us with the same question and then goes on the harass my boyfriend about it saying you should be getting this and making him feel bad about it. Her name was Sally, I’m not sure if she was a manager or whoever she is, but absolutely no reason to be treating anyone like that and making us feel uncomfortable. I understand you have a job to ask about the card, but when someone says no, it means no. And there was no reason to be following us around the entire time there. I wish people like her didn’t have the ability to work in these...

Been here a few times and finally decided to write a review. My wife came to shop for a gift for her mother's birthday. We didn't find what she was looking for however found a couple other necessities.

When we were waiting in line the supervisor called up all available checkers as it was getting busy. Our checker called us up and began her services. She had difficulties with the printer and had to call the supervisor over. She couldn't quite figure it out and had to call her MOD over. Our checker was quite pleasant with her cheerfulness and I said a few retail related jokes that lightened the situation for it was taking a while to fix the printer. After a few attempts the Mod did the trick and got our receipt out to us.

Their service was greatly executed and we left with smiles on our faces. The store is well organized and clean. I like shopping at...
