As for the park itself, there's a lot of distance for people who can walk or run the whole day and the scenery is amazing for people who love to make art (the locals don't seem to mind either). I mean, there are basically two lakes and a bunch of forest in the park and it's kind of cool to walk far enough from where you park to the actual creek for its namesake, although it happens to be surrounded by concrete on the other side just to remind you that you're still in civilization.
Of course, I'm probably biased since this is the closest park to my house, but this place really IS nature, so one bit of advice, be careful. Even the restrooms at the front of the parking lot are clearly part of nature so try to let go of your insectophobic tendencies if you plan to go here. Otherwise,...
   Read moreWe love Seabourne Creek. It is a little piece of paradise in the middle of chaos. There are little habitats all around and you often get to see the friends who live in them. The small lake/pond has many turtles and ducks with nests so for sure there will be more to enjoy in the future. We have also seen spoonbills, cranes and several other birds. Nutria have been sighted in the wetlands area. Recently they have put a small butterfly garden and a prairie garden. There are several benches and a few picnic tables scattered throughout the park.
