Man , this place is the WORST Whataburger I've been to. I've been here several times, and sketchy is the basic description of this Whataburger on Hwy 36 in Rosenberg. I've seen people go behind the counter that were not dressed as employees. I went today at 10:30 pm 08/10/23 . No customers in the lobby . The drive thru was fully packed .I had three cars in front of me and at least 40 minutes from order until I received my food. Wow ! The owner will more than likely not read this review, and if they do, they probably won't care . They got my money and stole my time . Seriously, they need to review the performance of this night's crew . They absolutely didn't try or look as if they cared about if this business succeeds or fails . I now have all the experience I need from this Whataburger to never spend another dime at this location. Take my advice, Owner get a better crew . They took my payment so fast and delivered zero customer service. When I say I will never go back to your location, you can bet your life I am not going back . Shame on your crew . Even the young person who gave me my food looked disinterested when I asked him why it took so long . "I don't cook the food" was his response. Phew , just a total lack of pride and sense of duty .
Further thoughts below, but to summarize... this latest visit was an insult to my time and my money, which was a fun little surprise.
I ordered at around 10:15 PM on a Thursday night, ahead of time so my food would be ready. I arrived at 10:20 to find the lobby closed and a line. Fair enough, I got in line.
30 minutes of waiting later, around 10:50 pm, and I'm presented with my food. I'd rather not wait, I'd rather have sat down and enjoyed my food, but things happen.
Instead of my food, a sweet and spicy, dr pepper, fries, and a shake, I get... bad food. The Dr. Pepper was little more than soda water and ice, the fries tasted like dirty, old oil, and frankly, by that point, I just drove away, frustrated. The burger might be fine, I haven't tried it yet. Too irritated by the experience. The shake, visually, seems up to par as well, for what that's worth.
To have an hour of my time wasted, going out, picking up, and driving home with bad food. To waste $18 on it. Infuriating.
To this location's credit, the service was fine. Employees doing their jobs as best they could. But if this is the quality of food on offer, there is something deeply wrong here. In my opinion, it's despicable to take people's money, take people's time, and treat them this way.
If it's a supply issue, close the store. If it's a staffing issue, raise wages and find/train quality people. As it stands, I won't be returning, which is a shame. I really enjoy and look forward to Whataburger after a tough day. It's my comfort food, and what was going to be a relaxing night is instead spent angry and typing out this...

I don't normally change my reviews but in this case after the third experience that was not favorable I decided to change my review from 5 to 2 Stars. Two occasions before this one we ordered on the mobile app while sitting in the restaurant and then went to the counter and told them we had a mobile order. Both of the first two times we had to sit there and wait up to 20 minutes while other people walked in the door and got their food before we got our mobile order. This third time we mobile ordered before we even made it to the restaurant in Pleak. We arrived and told the person at the counter after a brief wait that we had a mobile order and clearly she was a manager because she was wearing a white shirt. Two people walked in in front of us ordered at the counter and got our food before we did and we did a mobile order and arrived at the restaurant exactly when is said the order would be ready. We overheard the guy in the back say I have not started on it yet. But people who ordered from the counter walking in got their food before we did. I suggest whoever's in charge of this restaurant get with your team and fix your mobile ordering. Not everyone goes to the drive-thru.
