Valvoline Instant Oil Change — Attraction in Rosenberg

I had initially left a raving review for the manager and this place of business. I deeply regret having to change my review but when I initially went in for my oil change I asked the manager Cameron if he could see if I possibly had a oil leak. It wasn't because I had seen any leakage but it was because I had heard a strange whining noise the week before in my vehicle for a few days straight. When I looked up the reasoning for the noise google said possibly a transmission leak. So when I asked Cameron to check into this he said they only do oil changes but he would see what he could see and let me know. after the oil change he gave me my receipt and told me that they found it issue and it was possibly an engine leak or a transmission leak and that was done on Friday. Once I got home and pulled into my driveway there was a ton of oil leaking from my car. This was the first time that I actually saw fluid leaking from my car, it wasn't just a few spots but it was a trail of oil leading all the way into my garage. So i immediately called called fix my car which is a mobile mechanic company to come to my home to check my transmission and see if he could see any issues. The mechanic ran the diagnostic on my vehicle and said that I did not have a transmission or engine leak but that my oil cap in which they take off to do an oil change was loose. And because the cap was loose it had leaked oil all over my engine and all over my driveway. He also said that now my oil was a quart low and they needed to be refilled and that I needed to clean my engine off as soon as possible. The mechanic said that he tightent the cap back tight but if I had waited a day or two later my whole engine could have been ruined possibly even more damages. So today I went back to the Valvoline to speak with the manager Cameron and show him the pictures and the diagnostic from the mechanic. Instead of him apologizing and saying that his company made a mistake let us fix it he told me that the oil change company that I went to six months ago was probably the reason of why I had a oil leak. And that the oil that was leaked on my engine was old it had been there. But from the pictures you can clearly see that that's new oil and if I had just got a oil change how could I be a quart low. Cameron did add more oil to my car but never excepted the responsibility for the mistake or at the minimum apologies. Instead he blamed it on a service that I got six months ago when my driveway is brand new and has never had oil stains. It's clear that the issue I had was after I had got the oil changed from Valvoline. The fact that Valvoline could have cost me thousands in damages in at the least didn't even apologize I wouldnt recommend this place and WARN everyone to stay clear away from this facility. The thought of almost losing my transportation due to the negligence of this company is absurd. My husband paid nearly $300 for a transmission fluid change on his f250 Days later we noticed the transmission was grinding and there was extremely hard shifting. We took the vehicle to a mechanic who showed us that there was not a drop of transmission fluid in the truck. I reached out to the store with no response. I filed a claim with corporate & I was told Andrew (store manager) would review the camera footage of the service and reach back out to me. After 2 days of not hearing from any manager, I showed up to the store (recommended by customer service). Gerald (second manager) said Andrew and a technician were on the way to my mechanic’s to take a look at our vehicle. In short, both Andrew and his tech admitted there was a problem with the machine, and that it did not put enough fluid. He also admitted to putting a work order out on the machine because it was “acting funky.” When asked about the camera footage Andrew told me there was no footage of the service because of the camera angle. Fast forward to today…& the second manager Gerald is denying my claim because footage magically showed up & there was never an issue with the machine. They won’t show me the footage & Andrew’s story changed. Gerald was caught lying to my face telling me Andrew was off today. We do not know the extent of the damage to the vehicle because the customer service representative said it cannot be worked on yet until the claim is finished, but it is for sure damaged. Claim was denied so I will be reaching out to my mechanic to begin diagnosing it.

Update: 2/24/25 Update: Brandon (area manager) that was supposed to reach out to me and make a final decision on the appeal of my claim did not reach out to me. I called corporate to check the status of my claim & their words “ Brandon will not be reaching out to you because of the incident that happened Friday with cops having to be called on you. Nobody from Valvoline Global Operations will be contacting you any further.” & HUNG UP ON ME.

I was never once asked to leave in that video. I was actually even told I can stay (manager Andrews words in video)& NO cops were called. EVER. I believe I kept my composure as best I could and was only seeking answers. This treatment is disgusting.

I WILL BE HIRING AN ATTORNEY.

I urge everyone to please share this status and stay away from Valvoline 24311 southwest...

Poor Management - Poor Customer Care!

They will damage your vehicle and not take accountability even with video footage . Mgr. (An)DREW is a no show - never seems to be at work - so they say. They lack basic customer service skills which really matter when something goes wrong Corporate is a joke and the so called asst mgr CHASE was a total pompous jerk. . Plain rude and disrespectful. Immaturely handled damage - laughing & accusatory comments, going back and forth full of excuses , instead of just handling professionally even with the video footage of their complete negligence causing damage ! FYI GERALD is not a manager as read in other negative reviews, and is careless with tools, . They gjve false information on who is who and regarding corporate and claims hoping you will believe them and just walk away with your damage.

If you value your vehicle DO NOT use Valvoline!

Look at the other negative reviews … They have a history of taking zero accountability for damage. Accidents happen, but when it’s continual it’s complete negligence , shame on Valvoline for not owning up and taking care of their customers .this is when customer CARE...
