My iPhone 12 is broken and not repairable, as confirmed by 2 places. I was told to make an appt through the apple website to get a warranty trade in. The apple website scheduled my appt at this geek squad location. They told me that they had to try to run the updates (which wonât install and my cell data wonât connect) before giving me the new phone, and to come back in 45 mins. I was also told they had the phone I need in stock in case it doesnât work. I came back after 45 mins for a different employee to tell me that their wifi is terrible and they canât install the update so I just need to take my phone home. FYI⊠the update wonât install because my phone is brokenâŠI told the employee this and he said no, they just have terrible wifi that never works. I said I just want to get the new phone then. He walked In the back for 10 seconds and came back out saying they donât have an iPhone 12 in stock. Then they could not create the paperwork for me to sign. This all took over an hour so they said that I should leave the phone with them while they were waiting on the phone with Apple. They would email me when it was fixed, which they said would take 2 hours. I called after 4 hours and was told it was in progress. I went in after 7 hours andâŠthey had not even worked on it because I had not signed the paperwork the TOLD ME I COULD SIGN AFTER I picked up my phone. But they seemed knowledgeable. The reason I gave 3 stars was because of the Geek Squad phone system. I live a good distance from the store & tried to call ahead several times to speak to a tech to explain my problem & see if it was worth my time to drive all the way over there. There is no way to get through to this store by phone from their online info. Youâre routed to the Philippines where they are if no help at all.
