My family and I visited your pizza restaurant on Sunday September 29th 2024. At the Roseville (potluck) location. It was our first time there. Upon trying to order at 540pm-ish we were told, "we are closed!" By the male solo employee. However, my husband begged him to let us order a pizza since we were out of town. (Google says hours are till 6pm. They should change it to 540pm if that's when all these restraunts take their last orders at.) But that's another issue.) So I'm sitting in the seating area watching things around me. 2 gals from the taco shop next door, clock out and then go over to your pizza restraunt and are just laughing and messing around with your male employee, Behind the counter too! The girl even took the long pole pizza spatula and pulled out a pizza and put it in the box! Laughing and giggling the whole time. I sure didn't think this was sanitary or appropriate behavior. However, I didn't say anything. So few minutes later, I go to counter to get our pizza and opened it up and it was completely black and charred around the whole outside edge of the crust. So we each took a few bites of a piece (of the middle) and that was it. But it was also extremely greasy!!!! You can see my photos below. The whole experience was disappointingto say the least. First, to being told rudely that you were closed then, to see the (male) employee messing around with 2 other female taco restraunt workers, behind the counter and then the very burnt and greasy pizza to top it off. And we paid $25 with tax and tip...!!!!! Not sure if this is how your crust always is or if it was because of the distraction of the two girls that our pizza was neglected and burnt with carcinogens? But we will not be returning. Also I emailed the company with this story and no response.... So decided to do an honest review. Hope to save others from wasting...
Read moreThey don’t have a page for their pizza trailer, so I’ll leave this here since it’s all the same it seems.
We went from willing to try it again, to never will be back. The pizzas we got were burnt pretty badly on the under carriage, but we enjoyed the toppings. By no means a deal breaker for us as we were/are in the wood fired pizza industry and didn’t think it was enough to deter us from trying it again. What completely left us with a sour taste in our mouth was the fact I made a simple pizza review in a local PRIVATE pizza group on Facebook stating our under carriage was burnt, but we enjoyed the overall flavors, etc., nothing negative and overall very positive. Well the man who was cooking in the trailer decides to hunt us down in the establishment, and reprimands us for writing an honest overall positive review of our experience, saying how it “makes them look bad and how their boss is going to be pissed and yell at them.” First of all, not sure why you’d want to work for someone that treats their employees as such. Second of all, double check your product is good before you send it out the door, that is your responsibility as the person who has the control of the quality before it leaves the truck. Third of all, gross behavior from an employee to believe that’s an acceptable way to handle any sort of situation as such.
Word of advice- maybe start listening to the constructive criticism that is being openly given, publicly and privately, and do something about it. Maybe then people wouldn’t have negative reviews. Just a...
Read moreTried out the new pizza joint and I write this with full understanding that they just opened yesterday. Ordered the Fredo, the Dilly, and the Fat Joe. The Fredo (prosciutto, arugula, gorgonzola, honey) was by far the best of the bunch. Amazing and will bring me back to Og ZaZa again. Crust is crispy yet chewy and flavorful. Toppings great. The Fat Joe (Salami, onions, olives), only came with salami...not sure where the onions or olives went. That said it was still quite tasty. The Dilly, however was a huge let down. If you love pickle pizza, like me, this will disappoint. The pickles were very thickly cut, which overpowered the entire pizza's flavor - I LOVE pickles, but this was too much and honestly they didn't have a great flavor. The photo shows very thinly sliced pickles so not sure what happened there but I won't order that again.
Overall, good tasting pizza, great potential and I will go back for the Fredo alone. My biggest complaint about the concept of OgZaZa is that you cannot create your own pizza...you have to order one of the pre-designed ones. You can ask them to take items off, but I was told you cannot add or substitute anything. No plain sausage pizza. No way to do something like mushroom and olive pizza. Or whatever your liking is. My kids love cheese and olive pizza but they can't get it there. This is a huge limitation and I hope they will add this option...
