Altius Dispensary — Attraction in Round Lake Beach

Been coming here for about a year now and it never disappoints. Huge shoutout to Bart and Rena! They are both not only great at hospitality (such as always so welcoming, understanding and efficient), but they’re also intelligent. They seem to have great knowledge of any questions I have asked or even just curious small talk.(There’s a third guy but so sorry I really do not know his name but I swear he’s always there lol sorryyy).

That goes for anyone there! I’ve never had a bad experience. It was the first dispo I’ve ever went to and I remember being so nervous because I absolutely was SO clueless and couldn’t figure out what to say or ask for lol. I don’t have really any close friends or friends to relate to as this isn’t really any of their “hobbies” lol if that makes any sense. But this dispo has made me feel comfortable, confident, welcomed and listened to since day one! They don’t try to oversell or scam you and I love that. All I buy are girly / fruity vapes or edibles….and they never have judged me in the beginning when I asked stupid questions based off of anxiety, LOL.

Side note- they’re also SO FAST and the parking lot/coverage is great. It’s insane, I love it because it’s so simple and convenient when I just want to go home after a longgggg day at work (that’s normally when I go lol).

It feels great to walk into a business that: -Always greets and smiles at you the second you walk into the door! -Has the BEST reward system -Makes you feel heard and listened to -Being able to talk to someone who is so wise and passionate about their products -Has the best customer service and behavior from everyone (even if I ask a lot of questions or notice a mistake, they still are always SOOO sweet and understanding. They’re very apologetic if they ever need to be!)

If I could rate zero stars, I would, I came into the dispensary today with my cousin and my partner, and soon as we walked in, we were greeted with attitude and you could just tell her that we were not wanted here when asked for our IDs this lady not only held onto our IDs the whole entire time, but also stared at them to make sure that they weren’t fake as if we were under age Fast-forward to checking out. We overheard the worker conversation with another worker about how the computer was giving everyone problems all day today while checking out the lady then persist to say that it’s my card. I’m also letting her know that the funds are there and that I’m also showing her that the funds are there and instead of her wanting to move to another register, she then proceeds to tell us that there’s a ATM Making us pull more money off our card when she literally could’ve just went to another computer She did not want to do her job. She also had an attitude while doing her job. I will not be coming here ever again if you’re going to be treating me as if I don’t matter . She also had an attitude while doing her job. Also, my partner had two IDs due to us just moving down from Georgia one of the other workers were stalking us so hard that she watched my partner as she took out her Georgia ID and told the other worker that was checking us out to ask for the other ID, how would you see that someone has two ideas if you’re not...

Id give this place 5 stars- if Melanie their ‘management’ didn’t work here. She is rude, disrespectful and goes on the biggest power trip about how she’s management for both atlus and monivea road, even when you’re correct, talking to her with respect. She will speak over you, insult you with her position and threaten you with ombudsman😂 little does she know I will take it there because her conduct is absolutely disgusting. I’ve been a patient for a YEAR, I’ve had 2 late deliveries with this place, first one they gave me credit for my next order with no issue, now the second time is when Melanie came to play with her petty disgusting conduct. Even with StarTracks supervisors telling me I’m eligible for a refund. She turned me down, basically smacking me away like a fly when I was in the right. Told me there’s no one above her if I didn’t like her attitude I should go elsewhere 💀 She went and made a report on me as if IM the problem when all calls are recorded and if anyone knows me, knows I’m a damn good person. I’ve trained admin staff before. I am the FIRST person to know how customer service should be. She is NOT it. This place was only good for a year. Now I’m reconsidering my options because of Melanie when I had no issues until she came into the picture. She needs to be retrained or fired better yet.
