The service at this Corner Bakery is truly atrocious. It is as if they breed contempt from their employees. Every single employee is is absolutley horrific to their customers. I've never been treated so rudly. I used to go to Corner Bakery all the time for lunch. I endured the rudeness because i enjoyed the food. However, at one point, I just couldn't take it anymore. I would dread going in there every single time and knowing I had to deal with the staff. Therefore, I stopped going. Two years later I finally caved and decided to use them for a work event. I should of known that this place is still absolutley horrible. I placed a catering order for 45 people. I called the morning of to check to make sure everything was in order to ensure it was being worked on and I had no issues with my work event. I called and the conversation goes like this: Employee: "Hello" Me: "Hi, I placed a catering order to be picked up today and I just wanted to check to make sure everything is good to go and it'll be ready." Employee: "Yes" Me: "Yes? Like, it's being worked on?" Employee: "Yes" Me: "Okay, great! What's the name of the order?" Employee: "You didn't give me a name" Me: "Exactly. I'm just confused on how you confirm it is being worked on when I didn't provide you with a name." Employee: "There is only one catering order you. Of course its being worked on." Me: "Okay? But, I don't know that you have one catering order and my order could have gotten lost, I might have accidently ordered at the wrong place. I'm just checking to see if my order that is being worked on, is my order. What is the name of the order you're working on?" Employee: "Yes, it's being worked on. There's only one catering order. Like why would I need to tell you the name. There's only one catering order." Me: "My name is __. Is that the order you're working on?" Employee: "There is only one order we're working on." Me: "So, yes? You're working on _'s order?" (Employee hangs up without saying anything, or so I thought) (I call back) Employee: "Hello" Me: "Can I please talk to your manager?" Employee: "Ya, I was doing that, but you hung up." (Places me on hold again without saying anything)
I then proceeded to talk to the manager. He confirmed the order and basically said the whole staff has an attitude and he's working on it.
I hate this place.

Read moreGreat potential, poor execution. My first time going here, looked very appealing for breakfast but had too many problems with the service. There was no line when we walked in, it was very quiet. First, we were not given a number but were just told they would bring food to our table. I noticed everyone else had a number. After passing our table with our food I managed to flag them down. One of the items we ordered, Bacon Avacado Egg Bowl, was missing from our order despite two of us having told the person taking the order and I heard her mumble "avacado egg" as she was entering the order. After confirming it was not on the receipt they told us we'd have to go back and order it again and by now there was a pretty decent line so one of us would have to stand in line and wait to order something they managed to not get into our order while food gets cold and everyone else eats without them. We opted to just forget about it and do without. They also only brought pancakes with no syrup and only one set of silverware for 3 people so we had to wait while our food got cold for them to bring additional silverware - this is one of my biggest restaurant peeves. I had ordered a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew. It didn't taste like it had any coffee in it at all, there was nothing creamy or vanilla about it at all. It literally just tasted like really watered down Swiss Miss powdered hot chocolate. Disgusting. The Bananas Foster Pancakes were pretty good but I happened to have just had the very similar Bourbon Street Pancakes from Another Broken Egg and they were much better with bananas in the pancakes as well as on top. Bacon was very good, nice and crispy. Cinnamon roll was pretty good. The apple juice pouch for some reason was very sticky. Even after washing my hands they were still sticky for quite some time. Overall, food was pretty decent but service could have been much better. They certainly lost out of the sale of a meal because they simply couldn't...
Read moreOrdered an appetizer to share with my daughter while we were catching up on some studying. We were planning to order more food, but after the experience with the so called hummus salad, we changed our minds. The appetizer was over $4 and consisted 2 pieces of pita wedge (only half of a pita round, seriously what did they do with the other half), a couple of pieces (seriously pieces) of lettuce and a small tomatoe wedge. It looked like the so called salad portion was scraped off of someone's half eaten side salad plate. Once my daughter ate the hummus which was laden with green onions, she noticed something on her plate. It was a piece of bacon! So then I was convinced they just scraped off some salad from a salad plate onto the plate. It was an aweful experience. We will never go back there again. They were under staffed and the staff did not seem to care at all. The guy bussing the tables came by as we were getting up to leave (after he went by our table many times) and asked if he could take the plate away and asked "how was it?". I let him know that there was meat on the plate and we wanted the appetizer to be completely vegetarian. He offered to make another one, but I told him we would not care to have anything else. I concede there was not much he could do because my daughter had already eaten most of the hummus, but he could have offered a return coupon or something else. We would not have used it, but the gesture would have made me believe that he at least cared about our business. Don't waste your time going there in the evening. It is not...
