One Beauty Aesthetics — Attraction in Rowland Heights

SIDE EFFECTS ALERT I had masseter Botox at One Beauty Aesthetics. It has been 9 days and I'm experiencing several side effects. Sides of my jaw stick out like a squirrel keeping acorns in its cheeks when I bite down. And when I smile, one side of my lip won't just lift however hard I try, so I smile like a crook. I remember the injector divided the Botox into two syringes and injected in my right jaw by 3 times with one, then ask me if the needle bothered me, I said it was fine. Then she injected on my left jaw by 5 times with the other one. I asked Angie If she could provide me with the record of mine, she said she would and simply didn't. I told Angie these things happened, she didn't provide me any explanation. She said I should wait for it to settle and these things "maybe" normal. So I had to search about them my self on the internet and I figured why. My crook smile won't get fixed just by giving more time, It'll take 2 months ~ 6 months(as Botox loses its effect.) And squirrel cheeks may or may not get fixed by extra time, I may have to have extra Botox in the sticking masseter thread. I know Botox will fade away after 6 months and things will become normal. But this isn't why I went all the way to One Beauty Aesthetics and spent several $100. I was very disappointed how Angie didn't tell me what was happening, didn't explain anything. They didn't tell me anything about these side effects before I took the procedure either.

+) Both the injector and Angie touched my jaw and they said generally its 40units they would recommend. The injector recommended 60units, and now that I have had masseter Botox about 6 months earlier which was 50 units(worked perfectly) I said "How about 50 units?" and the injector said okay. After the procedure was finished, Angie told my husband that she thinks that 40 units were sufficient. So I became more confused if dose of 60 units were really not sufficient.

The additional injection can not help crook smile. How? The only way is the injection weaken the other risorius muscles(smile muscles) thus risorius muscles on both sides are weak, and I can't smile at all. I'll look like I'm saying "EEE" when I smile.

Angie texted me and asked if I can come and have a "touch up" soon after I left the review, but I can't. I told Angie and the injector that we were traveling, and from out of the state, we flew to come to LA when we visited them. We all talked about how was my first impression of LA etc. When I texted her and told her about the side effects I still had time to visit them but now I don't. If you could provide me with the flight, transportation and accommodation I'm willing to visit them, but I do not expect you would do that. One Beauty Aesthetics is a gem! This is the perfect medspa to visit to get all your treatments in one place. I left very happy after visiting on a Saturday afternoon and getting IV therapy, a Signature Facial, and some injections.

All the staff were very welcoming and cared about my comfort throughout my time at One Beauty Aesthetics, even if there was somewhat of a language barrier for some of the staff.

About my treatments-

IV therapy - This was a cool concept to inject extra vitamins and hydrate me. The IV treatment continued while I started my facial, so it was super convenient. I didn't feel a drastic change after the treatment but did notice that I felt a bit "healthier" and not my status quo of "always tired".

Signature Facial - THE BEST EVER! I didn't know exactly all the details of what the facial included but it's very thorough and your skin will be GLOWING after. My face felt so cleansed, especially with the extraction. It's so cool to see what can come out of your skin (at least for me, lol). The whole facial felt like an awesome treat and really lets you relax. Juan did an amazing job with the facial, including the massages!

Injections - I got Jeuveau injections for prevention of wrinkles on my forehead, 11s, and crows. AND also on my masseters to help reduce teeth grinding when I sleep. Amanda made the process quick and easy. The injections are working as expected on week later.

I had my appointment here from groupon,I purchased a jeveau another (botolinum toxin) like botox but end up recommending dissolving my fillers on my upper lip and adding sculptra on my temples to add volume. After couple weeks i txted their consultant (Angie) regarding my fillers they dissolved that it was still there and i wanted another appt to dissolve the remaining, she replied that she will let me know if there’s availability when she come to the office the next day… but no txt ,so i follow up in the afternoon… still no replies, waited till tues and nothing.. so unprofessional after recommending another treatment aside from the original purchased from groupon created another problem now it messed up the shape of my lips that looks like a duck! Watch out also bcos they will upsell you anything when you come in for consultation but when you see their groupon it’s actually cheaper when you get it from there than in their office.

Updated: Angie the consultant finally reached out after messaging her for couple days and apologizing after seeing my review on google.
