American Pools — Attraction in Roxbury Township

They installed an inground swimming pool back in September 2020. Jim promised us the moon about all the wonderful things they were going to do for us. They were great and digged the pool in a reasonable time but once we made the final payment for the pool that’s when everything changed. They promised they would come back in the early spring to install our patio. They completely ghosted us from that point on and never returned phone calls. He is going to blame it on Covid and supply issues but we never had problems with other companies once we started to contact them. He digged so many pools for others and once was paid never finished any work. He kept on promising that he would come back and install our patio. He promised he would be there in March, then April, then June,. We finally gave up on his lies and hired another company to finish the work in July. Patio was completed in less then a couple weeks once we hired another company. If he would have been honest from the get go we might have had a patio prior to opening up in May but he strung us along until July. Electrician never finished the work until July, 10 months after starting. They never gave us a ladder or put in proper amount of salt. We kept on asking for it but had to give up after never hearing from him. We had to fight for everything promised. They never showed us how to use the pool equipment. Very unprofessional. We had some problems questions with some issues with the pool but would never return calls and hired others. Go to their store and everything will make sense on how they run their business. The pool store is a mess. Our pump recently didn’t prime tried calling him but gave up once we didn’t hear from him after a week. We know somebody that had to sue him for similar issues. Let me start by saying I didn’t want to leave this review but it’s been over a year and the owner is unresponsive. Beware of this business. This company installed a pool for me in mid 2018.. I have been waiting since the installation of my pool for the owner to honor his agreement and finish the work that is in our contract. This owner is unbelievably unresponsive and is not meeting the terms of the agreement we have in place. The owner was very unprofessional telling me personal information about his drivers driving without a license and get it in an accident and all this other details I should not know anything about. I just want my work finished and I wanted to honor my contract. Finally and one of the more important things was when the pool was installed it wasn’t installed properly and my daughter developed a serious ear infection which I documented in text messages to the owner. He didn’t reply. In my opinion I would never recommend this company to do any work because of the poor customer experience that I’ve personally had. I had an inground pool liner. Put in buy All American pools. Paul's last year, they did such a horrible, horrible job that I had to get another pool company to come out and fix my liner. And they never hooked up the pump. They never hooked up the filter. They never grounded the pump. So if a lightning hits the pump, my house would have been never put the valve back on circulation, they left it milky white and you could not see the bottom, it took me. Forever to get a cleaned up and they even trespassed on my property. When I told them not to come until I'm there. But they came anywand the owner. Jim lies through his teeth. I suggest that you read some of the reviews or even all the reviews before. Going to call him to do some pool work. Or even put in a liner cause you can never get ahold of him.
