Great work until the final touches. 1st visit installed a Fosgate Punch 300 watt amp & 10" sub. Install was very professional looking. They cleaned up all wires and it sounded great.
At home, I noticed the pass. rear seat didn't go back on rails all the way. The lateral travel pull handle just barely hit the amp under the seat, looked like an easy fix.
The back underside of the seat had carpet hanging down, it made contact with the amp too & impeded motion of seat moving forward for 3rd row seats. The glove box worked flawlessly before install, but after they took it off to route power through firewall, it stuck in the upward position.
None of this was a huge deal. How it was addressed, unacceptable. When I left, the explanation for the lack of clearance for my amp, "We have it cinched down as far as it will go. That's all we can do basically." I said in alright, but in my head I'm thinking, it wasn't too bad before, but not done right is my point.
Question for the owner:
Let's get this straight...your business did a poor job selecting for the amp location and I should just deal with poor workmanship? No one even apologized for not getting it right the 1st time (or 2nd time, read on) either! I came hi-fi for solid 4+ star reviews, and mine would've been that too, however after 2nd visit to fix things.....
Tested glove box, it worked initially, but now it won't open again without tugging on it again.
The rear seat traveled all the way back which was good, but attempting to move forward the seat's back carpet that wraps under the seat made contact with the amp & the amp's wiring.
Today on the drive home the amp shut off, the carpet dislodged the B+ wire as a light wiggle would turn the amp back on.
The right rear seat is now even worse than it was! I suspect the installer left the carpet hanging down to prevent it from interfering hitting the amp as much.
Also the right rear seat doesn't move forward after the motor turns on like the installer left the seat motor mechanism disconnected.
Bottom line, I can't recommend & won't let them touch...
Read moreIf you have a vintage car, don't bring it here! First was my son's birthday present. Just got him four speakers and an amp from hifi. Brought it there for the install. After it was done, I was kind of embarrassed when giving to my son. The radio could never be turned up more than 50 percent, or speakers started farting sound. I thought i just didn't spend enough. Later, when we were in California, we had it redone, and holy cow it sounds amazing now! Price $400 My wife had her Cadillac done there, and she is just used to the whining sound that is continuous in the speakers. Most of the connections have had to be redone, and you will cringe when you see how they "think if you can't see it, it doesn't matter." I have it all working now after removing 40 feet of wiring and useless crap from a kit that doesn't need to be installed. Cost $900 My wife gave me a gift certificate for Christmas before i expressed that I was not going to do business there again. This car was the worst by far. The whining ground sound was horrible! I brought it back, and they put some filter on it to REDUCE The whining sound and charged me for it! They tied the remote for the amp into my headlight relay box, which fired all the relays. 200 bucks for a new one. I pulled the power off my battery because of iI and drove the car within two days. The battery was dead. Everything has sat like that unused for two years. I am now redoing it and I'm disgusted at the amount of money I have spent. I thought i should save someone elsethe trouble! Price $1200 + repair of headlights and everything i bought today to redo. IF YOU HAVE A HONDA CIVIC, BRING IT HERE. DO NOT BRING A VINTAGE CAR HERE! Hope this...
Read moreI have taken several different cars and the same one back when I decided to upgrade to a better sound system. I can not state enough how much I love these guys. The people running the front counter (Kevin and Tanner specifically) are fantastic to deal with and they are very knowledgeable regarding all forms of car audio/stereo systems/backup cams/etc.
I have gotten bids done by other audio places and their labor is right next to everyone else’s; in other words, I have never felt I was getting charged unnecessarily or unfairly.
They built me a custom box to fit a sub being the seat of my truck and it fit perfect and sounds amazing. The box was built well and was constructed to maximize the air space/flow to fit the sub I have.
The only small thing I have ever noticed taking over 4 cars to them was getting a sub installed there was a little flap removed so a sub box could sit flat that was behind my seat which wasn’t a big deal I just wish I was informed of it before hand but it is possible I was informed of it and just forgot.
However, I must say to back this up there were numerous times during installs of other cars where they did call me and asked me about something such as making a small cut in the carpet of a vehicle to run an amp so don’t think they are going to do something to your car without your consent!
Bottom line, great work at a fair price, friendly educated staff that is always...
