This is my first time looking over all the reviews , what I will say is that as far as the parking lot , not true to its content, I’ve been watching for a very long time , a (few) at the gym are not happy that on sundays and special events the the members of the church or many , so they take up a lot of the parking lot ,I don’t see how you can be upset with the church over this, from what I see the church has tried their best to make more parking available by asking members of the church that serve not to park in the parking lot and find spots on the street and walk into the church off the street, so that people visiting have parking spots for them. They’ve also worked a deal where they have parking across the street at a close down diner as to utilize that space as well. In my opinion having a parking issue is a great thing because that means that more people are coming to hear and experience the love of Christ , as far as parking lot staff, being aggressive I have never seen this or witnessed it, and I am constantly watching, but what I can attest to is that I have seen many of the patrons at the gym become highly aggressive because they can’t find a parking spot convenient enough closest to the door , I’m so sorry for that hopefully the lord will provide a larger location soon . As far as the church being better suited for individuals, under the age of 21 I think that’s preposterous because I have seen many many people coming to this church that are in their 40s 50s 60s and 70s and not just a handful but dozens upon dozens. No one has paid me to say this I don’t work for the church I’m not on their payroll. I do attend the church and was in no way asked for my opinion on this matter , but I chose to freely give my own opinion. I have seen many people from many different lifestyles come to Christ I have seen families transformed I have seen broken marriage get renewed. I have seen the sick getting healed. I have seen people that at one point were criminals now giving their life to the Lord , people that at one point were addicted to drugs given their life to the Lord people that at one point were violent now given their life to the Lord people that were politicians, giving their life to the Lord people that were in law-enforcement and military giving their life to the Lord people that were gang members given their life to the Lord Christ doesn’t care about how much money you make What’s your skin color your history, your race, your social or economic background he just cares that you want to know more of Him and that’s what I have seen at this church people that just want to know more of Him and no one cares where you came from or what your face looks like all they care is what direction is your heart going in , I’m sorry if I upset anyone with this massage, all...
Read moreI first heard of Church Alive a few years ago through some co-workers who had nothing but great things to say about their church. They were always so passionate about it and quick to tell me how it was “the best church out there”. At that time my family and I were going to our own church where we had been serving for years. Sometime later my one girl (I have 3 kids, two boys and a girl) was diagnosed with leukemia. She was 5 at that time. Needless to say, all support and prayers are needed and welcomed in a season like this. My friends from work would always share that their church was committed to pray for my daughter week in and week out during their Sunday services and that they also had specific people praying for her on a daily basis. (This is a church that I didn't even know their people, pastors and leaders.) To a mom’s heart, in a situation like this, this makes all the difference. A little more than 3 years ago we felt God leading us to a different season. Some changes were needed and looking for a different church was one of them. Church Alive was the first church we visited and we all — all the 5 of us — our entire family fell in love with it! Top priority on our “must have list” was a strong kids ministry. Our kids were 2, 7, and 9 at that time. So we definitely needed something attractive and spiritually strong for the kids. Church Alive had it! Almost 4 years later it still has it and it's only growing stronger and stronger. Not only the kids ministry, but all other ministries within the church. This Church and leaders are committed to serving Christ and loving people. This makes all the difference. My husband and I have been Christians most of our lives and it’s been a blessing to see that God still has more for us. Seeing our kids grow and develop a Christ-like character with the help of their kids and youth ministries is just priceless. My prayers as a mom are definitely being answered! If you’ve never checked out this church, you are missing out! Btw... my daughter has been cancer free since she finished treatment in June 2015 and I know she’s been...
Read moreWhen I moved to New Jersey, I did not know anyone. Starting anew, I met someone (now a close friend) who invited me to Church Alive’s youth ministry: Fearless. After that first night attending, I immediately felt welcomed into a community that felt like I had been a part of for years already. Shortly afterwards, I started attending service on Sundays, serving, meeting new people, and became a part of a community I thought I’d never have. I never missed another youth night again until I graduated, and many of the people I have met became family to me. I got baptized at Church Alive. Overall, I have been blessed with a strong, loving house that has helped me plant roots and flourish in my walk with Jesus.
Fearless changed my life for the better. The heart and vision our church and pastors carry for the youth ministry is everything, and that has overflowed onto the team at Fearless. The vision is about being rooted in biblical principles instead of worldly culture. It is about providing a foundation for the next generation to be letters of Christ to the world and paving a way for leaders to be raised and discipled to testify about Jesus. The church is not shy or ashamed of teaching the Bible—not the culturally appropriate, politically correct, or cherry-picked version of it that...
