Hot Box Cookies — Attraction in Saint Charles

Ordered 12 cookies and some dog cookies on may 4th from this location and shortly after placing the order the lady calls and says she doesn’t know why on the website they list the cookies for dogs and says this location doesn’t sell them she offered to refund me or give me a few more cookies. Once there were delivered I tipped the driver once she was gone I notice there wasn’t a difference in the amount of cookies I was given… no big deal honestly I just didn’t understand the lie. Attempted again today at ordering from this location. I submitted my order and it said it would be ready at 5:04pm and my boyfriend gets there to pick them up at 5:15 and the lady said the order just went in! My boyfriend got all the way home and found that the order he was given was not even ours. I called the store and talked to Michelle she wanted us to drive the cookies back up there and offered to remake them. I think asked what we would be compensated for our time she says oh I can give a $5 on your account. I will take it and use it at the Clayton location I won’t be going here anymore! I am so confused at who’s running this location I have never had bad experiences with Hotbox until now. I waited for a while and was excited for this location to open because it was close to my house I thought I hit the jackpot but that is not the case. Judging by other reviews here I am not wrong for my feedback. Please hire people who are capable and don’t advertise things that you don’t sell at this location it’s frustrating to say the least. Hot Box Cookies is a Hot Mess Company! I ordered cookies online December 26, 2023. I used PayPal to pay. When I did not receive an email from the company I thought I should call to make sure my order was received. I only received an email from PayPal. The charge went on my credit card, but no confirmation email ever showed up in my email inbox. I had to call several locations before they could locate my online order, which they said went to their national order line. Whatever that is. Since I wanted my order the same day they recommended that order be canceled, and placed again with the location that would be in my delivery area, the one in St. Charles on Beale Street. I did that. Then, I got a call from someone at the Beale Street store saying I am out of their delivery area, therefore, it would cost me an extra $7 to get my order delivered. WTH? I told the girl to just cancel. The whole situation was ridiculous AND A WASTE OF TIME. I would not recommend ordering online with this company because their ordering system is terrible. Such a complete waste of time. NOW, I am having to wait on two refunds. Although I told her to cancel my order, guess who has to call back again because the order was not delivered nor cancelled. A HOT MESS!!! Terrible customer service. Horrible ordering...

Came in at 8:55 pm and was told that management said not to bake anymore although there is a literal black and white types sign that reads they don’t bake 30 minutes before close. They are open until 10 today…. I was given 4 options on what was left and I chose two (1 red velvet, one seasonal). I was also offered the option to wait while she baked whatever I wanted. I waited for my other 4. She asked if I wanted the ones already made right away or if I wanted to wait until all the cookies were done. I told her I wanted them all at once. While waiting, she must’ve sold the red velvet I already purchased and there one in the oven while the others were already halfway through. I checked my box as soon as it was given to me and was told “that’s just how they come, sorry”…. I’m an avid hotbox cookie customer - that is unacceptable and they do NOT come like that.
