St. Charles Convention Center — Attraction in Saint Charles

I just want to start off by saying, this review is not against the Convention Center as an establishment. However this morning I had an awful experience here. Today is September 26th 2025. I received a phone call this morning. Instead of handling an intense conversation while driving. I decided to pull over in the Convention Center parking lot. I was going to park at Embassy Suites, however the center had more parking spots available. I parked in the employee parking area while finishing my call. A lady walked up to my vehicle. I raised down my window and said "hello, how can I help you?" Her reply was " Do you work here?" I then stated that I didn't. The lady then said "well you need to move". I replied back quietly as I am on a professional phone call " yes ma'am I am, just finishing up this call". She began to go on a rant yelling at me. She stated that I better move now or else she will be contacting the police! I then muted my phone call. I stated " lady I literally just told you that I was getting ready to leave, now you're threatening to call the police, well do it". This woman started to yell at me. She then called the police. I unmuted my call and finished my conversation. I was getting ready to leave. As stated before, I was only finishing up a conversation in the first place. This lady took it upon herself to take her phone out and start taking pictures of my vehicle and my license plates. That's when I contacted the police myself and took pictures of her. I told them exactly what happened. The police was very nice. He told me to not worry about it and to have a great rest of the day. I don't know what this woman does here for work. Maybe she patrols the parking lot or something. However this behavior should not be tolerated. I have been to many events at this establishment. This woman's behavior is horrible and I hope she doesn't deal with the public. I felt completely disrespected and threatened for no reason. This was pure harassment! I was nothing but...

So the ANIME CONVENTION and the ANIME CONVENTION STAFF were WONDERFUL! My family were harassed at the Anime Convention by Bobbi Akers who seems to be a concierge or a hostess and she tried getting us kicked out on Sunday,the LAST day, because our child went up and down the escalators with supervision and when she told us our child needed adult supervision on the escalators she was with one of her parents at all time. So her other parent with up with her up and down the escalator and we went about the rest of our day. This was at 11:30am. We're also a mixed race, and LGBTQ+ family so I look nothing like our child, I guess since we're different skin tones she decided our child had no supervision when our child and I were walking together on the escalator trying to get to the front of the building to meet the rest of our family and leave. When we were leaving (this is Sunday by the way, the last day of the convention which is a very short day) after doing our last classes and activities she saw us, ran towards the help desk and said our child was going to fall in the escalators and that she was just so concerned about our child's safety, this Bobbi lady is also the same okay who harrassed my partner on Saturday and was gruff and rough with her. She had her hands in my partners belongings to the point my partner almost fell over, just trying to help her get through her bag. But yes Bobbi tried getting us escorted out of the convention because I don't look like I should be our child's parent and she was so concerned about our child safety OVER THREE hours after the initial fact of her going up and down the escalators a few times. My name is Robert Mays, owner of A.P.G grading. I was a vendor at the Pop Culture Convention at the St. Charles convention center this weekend. At 3:30 breaking down and loading merchandise to my vehicle, which I was gone for only 3 min tops. The convention centers security officer Mike Cordy came to my 4 tables and took 3 boxes which had all kinds of items and merchandise and threw them in the trash compactor.

With items still on the table and 2 banners still hung up. He had no right to evade my spaces and straight up lied he did not check the boxes they were not emptied and I lost 2 Funko pops
