Purchased a brand new set of GE Profile appliances from this company for a new house move that my wife and I were going to complete in August 2012. The store itself had very limited A/C and was uncomfortable to shop in with our baby son, but we were able to find a product that we were happy with and a decent price compared to Home Depot, Lowes, and other appliance stores.
The delivery of the microwave and the dishwasher went great, but it was handled by a separate company. This company was fantastic and completed the entire installation very professionally. The "installers" from Appliance Discounters were a little rough with the GE Oven unit and left a few marks on the front stainless panel. Upon telling the store this they replied that it must be from packaging and claimed they didn't understand what I was talking about.
Upon the very first two days of using the new GE Profile Microwave it stops working and flashes "Panel Short - Must Contact Repair Service" while I'm at work and emitted a non-stop beeping sound which scared my wife. I rushed home from work and was able to shut off the power to the kitchen and disable the microwave. Being BRAND NEW I contacted St. Charles Appliance Discounters and told my salesperson what happened and that I was very upset. He said that he would take care of it by the next day and somebody from a repair company would call me.
Low and behold, the repair company that called me was Mid-America Appliance Service. They didn't even know my name ... why I was calling ... and what appliances that I had and where from. They just wanted to know my address for billing purposes. Then they tell me that they cannot get to my service call until maybe next week. I already had my wife take off work (school teacher) the next day because I was told we would get immediate help. What made us even more upset is that Mid-America Appliance Service calls back about 10 minutes later and says "We cannot warranty service GE Appliances, the salesman at Appliance Discounters said that you had a Frigidaire!"
So within a moment after purchasing my (3) new appliances for thousands of dollars not only am I completely hung out to dry, but they have totally forgotten what I even purchased in the first place. If you read this Appliance Discounters .. I called and got my own repair person, so thank you for nothing, I made sure to post this exact message to about 2,800 of my customers as...

The owner from Appliance Discounters did call and send her service man out to check the next day. He agreed that the dishwasher wasn’t installed appropriately and made the adjustments to make it right. I wasn’t home but my daughter said the service man was awesome. He came in with a mask as well which I had to send the other delivery guys back to their truck for them when it was delivered. The owner was concerned to fix the problem quickly. I would recommend Appliance Discounters but stand behind saying they would have to use a different delivery service than Adept Install to deliver it.
The price was right. Donna made sure she was lower than the 3 other places that I looked for my dishwasher at. The delivery was made in the time period I was told. After it was installed I questioned the fact that the left side of the door appeared to be sticking out further than the right. Both delivery men convinced me it just looked that way. I tipped them and they left. My daughter and I immediately left as well for another appointment. When we got home I asked her and her boyfriend what they thought and they both thought the left side of the door not only sticks out further but that the seal didn’t seem as tight. I called James the owner of Adept Installation and he said if they come out and don’t find anything wrong it is a service charge of $80. I haven’t even used it yet. He also said I asked someone who doesn’t know anything about dishwashers for their opinion. When I called, the dishwasher had barely been installed 5 hours. I won’t use Appliance Discounters again because I won’t use that delivery service again. When I was purchasing the dishwasher, I told Donna my daughter’s boyfriend was in the market for a couple new appliances and that I told him to go see her. Unfortunately he is the one who thought the dishwasher needed to be adjusted. I guess that’s another sale Appliance Discount lost because of their...
