Fort de Buade was a French fort in the present U.S. state of Michigan's Upper Peninsula across the Straits of Mackinac from the northern tip of lower Michigan's "mitten". It was garrisoned between 1683 and 1701.

St Ignace has several different museums in this is one of the better ones. Unfortunately I had my three-year-old daughter with me on this visit and could not take time to look at all the displays and enjoy all the history. This Museum is a self-guided tour with many many many displays and antiques.
