This place is amazing! Reminds me of our cabin in Gaylord. Very old school. Cozy room! Super sweet owner! Very accommodating!! Very clean! The air worked! We could see Mackinac Island from our room and from the chairs ourside of our room! The fireworks were wonderful! They even have Cable! We walked to the ferry! We couldn't hear our neighbors! We couldnt even hear the ferry's piped in music! It was quiet! We will definitely go back! Not 1 complaint!!! By far the best view! I

We had an amazing weekend stay at the Huron Inn. Staff was polite and very friendly. Best part… we were able to stay with our dog as they are pet friendly. The king room 14 was clean and stocked with all necessities needed provided. Being right on Lake Huron was breathtakingly beautiful! 10/10 would recommend if you want a nice quite weekend and a great place to stay. I can not think of anything that I did not like about this Inn.

do yourself a favor and stay in the sweet town of St. Ignace, especially at Huron Inn! I love the show Schitt’s Creek and the exterior of the Inn reminded me so much of the Inn from the show! Friendly staff, clean & walking distance to all of the best shops and restaurants! I can’t wait to come back here and visit!

My husband and I thought we would book a room here because the reviews online all seemed great. It was just for one night. The lady I worked with was so pleasant when speaking on the phone and checking us in later that day. I didn't expect a fancy room for the price, that didn't matter to us. Just had great reviews, so we thought we would give them a try this time. (We generally stay at Breakers) I wish we paid 3 times the cost and stayed somewhere else. The owner insulted me verbally when I went to check out and asked from part of a refund. He called me a "scam artist" because I wanted some of our money back. I asked for that because when trying to shower that morning, the water wouldn't get warm and once I got out of the shower, to my surprise, I slipped and fell. The shower head was crusted with hard water and apparently was leaking over the side and soaked the floor. I cleaned up the water with the whole 2 towels given for 2 adults. The room smelled like mold. The walls looked like it may have had water damage and could have mold behind them. The sink water never got warm at all when trying to wash my face the night before. The room said it came with cable and wifi but the wifi didn't work and the cable box was a joke because only 4 channels worked. The bed looked as if someone stayed there the night before and room service came in and shook the sheets and tossed it all back together. The room was out dated to say the least. Also, the heat didn't start to work in our room until the early hours of the morning and woke sweating. I wouldn't ever stay here again, ever. I've never been treated so poorly in all my life. Even worse, from the owner of the place. I cried. A man that owns a place I stayed at made me cry for falling in there quick clean up status and I fell. I couldn't very well go to them at night since the office closed at 10pm and no one was around when we got back from the falls. So at that point we were stuck and tried to make the best of it. The poorly cleaned shower head and water all over and falling was my last straw. Until I was verbal disrespected. Not once did I raise my voice, or speak poorly to that man that owns the place and he was SO AWFUL. I got back in the car with my husband crying and needless to say he wanted to go in and have a talk with him. It wouldn't have helped. That man was down right awful. Just because you charge less for "clean" rooms, doesn't mean you can treat PAYING CUATOMERS like trash. So to anyone wanting to stay here to save a buck, do not do it. Head over to Voyager Inn for the same price. At least you get treated decently and get a bagel in...

So, I read the reviews on Trip advisor which I always do before going somewhere and really was surprised on how it didn't match our experience. We really just wanted a clean and cheaper place to stay for one night on our way to Canada, and out of those two, cheaper was it. Clean really is a basic thing a motel can offer even if the room is tiny and run down. Right away my son finds body hairs all over a couple of the pillows (both beds) and a crusty stain on his comforter. I went and indicated this to the young man at the front desk and he gave me a crazy look when I asked him for 8 new pillowcases to replace these unclean used ones. We then tossed the quilt in the corner and he slept with sheets. Bedroom drawer had unknown sticky substance in it. 2 dirty towels hanging behind the bathroom door as we entered the microscopic sized bathroom. There is no fan in the bathroom and a serious lack of plugs in this room - we had to unplug the clock and a lamp to plug in needed items. Tub had body hair all in it. I waited to shower and other members of the family wore shower shoes. I could assume this room was fluffed but not cleaned. We were tired from a long drive and just made the best of it. The next day at checkout I discussed all this with a second front desk lady and she was pretty much indifferent to it all and did nothing to rectify the nasty room we just slept in overnight. We wanted to leave early at 6:30am, no staff on site yet until 7am for coffee, etc. Would not recommend this motel to even the thriftiest traveler. ||Suggestion if you are going to this area to look at lighthouses, the lighthouses are all on the Mackinaw City side (so you pay a toll each time to cross the Mackinac Bridge ) - if we would of planned it better, we would of booked a room on that side...

Been staying here since 2013 and I gotta say since this new owner took over 2+ years ago, it has been the worst ever! Don't try to check in 30 mins early because all the employees they had still didn't clean the rooms from a 10am check out. (12-14 rooms). They will they will give you an attitude when you ask if you can check in early! ||Check in 2 hours after your check in time at 3pm and they still don't have the room ready. They say they have WIFI, but it doesn't work if you use the ones that are facing the lake! Like I mean doesn't not even reach that far!!!! Oh it doesn't end there...you try to talk to them about something and they act like they clueless..."I don't understand" attitude. ||The rooms are not as nice as you think either. Beds are like sleeping on a stuffed been bag that is just not as comfortable as you think! My back is in it's worst shape ever from 2 nights there. The locks don't work on the doors and some don't even have the whole door knob components on them. ||OOOOH, as for what they explain the website. HA! Better think again...nothing is accurate on there either. No Hairdryer, WIFI doesn't work, Locks don't work. ||After being loyal to a family that used to own it and live there and was so amazing and accommodating to their guests to a new owner that just cares about the money...I'm no longer staying here again! ||You should stay else where than here...your vehicle is better...
