On 10/25/23, had a scheduled grooming appt. for my dog.
Informed the young lady that my dog is deaf, has anxiety and may have issues with being kenneled. Advised to call if any issues.
She was to receive the basic service, bath, nail trim, etc. and I was asked/advised to add on nail grind as her nails were “pretty short” and the vein was too close to the tips. Okay’d the service. Amount went from 34 before tax to 50.
Received a call about an hour after leaving. I entered the grooming area and noticed the two were employees acting weird and having a side convo. I heard the groomer ask if that was me. All he said was your dog is so sweet as the lady behind the counter walked over to me and handed me a piece of paper and asked that I pay. I was confused. Never seen that process done before. It was a little loud in the there so I walked out as instructed to pay, sat the paper on the register, the lady picked it up, scanned it, put it in the drawer and told me my total. A little confused still I paid. Took my receipt and walked back in. Once I came in she was checking the computer and said something about now she can grab my dog. A customer next to me was greeted, service explained, young woman sat her dog on the ground and said for the camera we have to show that the dog walks fine - my opinion healthy- woman explained that even though it was her dog first time that her dog did excellent.
Lady walked out with my dog and thanked me for coming. Nothing in regards to service was discussed. I asked her if she would step out the grooming area with me because I had a question. Asked her if it was standard to have customers pay before being brought their dog and that I didn’t receive my dog first. She yes it was standard now due to that fact that so many people run off and not pay.
Asked her what was the difference between me and the other customer who was treated differently. Informed her I would not return and would post a complaint.
My dog didn’t smell like any type of shampoo, nails were trimmed and none appeared to have had a grind appearance to it.
I will post on bbb and am thinking about sending in another complaint in regards to overall treatment with...
Read moreWe waited 5 days to get an appointment on a Wednesday night. We dropped her off and 60 minutes later they call us back and say they can’t groom our dog because another dog bit a groomer (said it was an emergency because dogs shots weren’t up to date- which is very concerning because I always have to prove my dog’s vaccines are in order with paperwork from the Vet, I am very sorry for the poor woman who was bit, and even more sad for the dog owner that dropped off such dog). They offered me 50% off and a reschedule for 4 days later for effectively wasting 30 min to drop off rt traffic + 60 min my dog was there + another 30 min to go back and get her (for roughly 35 dollar value aka 50% off)...
When I got there to pick her up roughly 45 min from my cancellation phone call she is still dirty - unbathed and 1 groomer is working on a dog and two other women are just standing there. Again they offer me 50% off and place blame on the dog owner who left her dog with them without updated shots. I feel this was handled incredibly unprofessionally. I definitely would have been willing to pick up my dog later in the evening. However now that I know they are being unresponsible and unprofessional with the monitoring of the dogs they allow in for grooming I will not be coming back. I fear for the safety of the groomers, my dog, and other dogs as well. I would not recommend this place for grooming there are far more safe, professional options in the...
Read moreIt was my first and last visit at this location. It was very insulting when my husband asked if they had any birds because the habitats were empty. Both workers were standing at the register and the dark haired lady said they did have birds…. But proceeded to give us a very unpleasant look and make a snide comment aloud to her coworker saying, “Buying a parakeet 10 minutes before we close.” Both of them walked away and we stood there for ten minutes thinking they were going to come back to assist us. Even better, they completely ignored and avoided us. I apologize we tried making them do their job and make a sale for this location. We can’t help but feel like we were discriminated against due to being a biracial couple. Yes we came in 10-15 minutes before the store closed, but other customers were still walking in as well and wandering around shopping. If they didn’t want to assist us for one reason or another they should’ve told us they “didn’t have enough time” for that. I know as a store manager myself, even if people walk into my store to pick up a two minutes before we close, for one reason or another my workers are not to say anything regarding the time and making them feel rushed to make a purchase or walk out with anything. However, I guess not every company has the same expectations for their workers and wanting customers to have a positive experience so they can continue...
