Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Saint Louis Park

I find the people extremely helpful and kind and sensitive to customers and the store’s environment. However, one item that I have been getting for many many years since I started coming to Caribou (when it first opened) is the coffee cake. In my view, it has too much of the cinnamon sticky Inner core that makes it too heavy to really eat pleasantly. I always peel off the thick goo in the center. I’ve noticed that Starbucks is now carrying a similar (almost the same) coffee cake, but it is more of a thin, cinnamon sugary item without the heavy, thick goo. I think if you change the recipe to be more like a coffee cake with a thin, crushed and thin cinnamon stream in the middle, that you would be selling many many many more coffee, cakes – – at least to me and my family, and I suspect many others as well. CHECK YOUR HOT COFFEE!! 3 out of 5 of my coffee’s I got last week from this location were 75% full, the rest was just filled with wipe cream. I brought it to the barista attention that it wasn’t full and the whip wasn’t to the top either. She started adding more whip cream, I stopped her and said I’m telling you there isn’t enough coffee in there. She tells me it’s a new standard to fill the drinks like that and I should request less whip ( which isn’t an option online) or no whip to get a full coffee. I told her please remake my drink and fill it. She did remake it but after making me very mad, especially being a regular at the location for a year.

Next day, I called in to talk to a manager and explained the situation. She told me how it shouldn’t be lower than a centimeter. Whip or no whip.

Probably would have been more stars if I had actually been able to get te coffee I ordered. Ordered through drive through with no one behind me and one person in front of me at the time and when I got to the window I was totally ignored. After being there probably a couple of minutes I saw the barista place my coffee by the window and then both she and the drive through worker kept ignoring me to make coffee for the people who since had come to order while my coffee just sat there. I had to get to work so I just ended up driving off. If you need to get to work on a weekend, don’t come here. No clue what it’s like...
