I cannot say enough good things about Bay Care!! I am a Bay Care fan for life! My most significant experience with Bay Care started in 2016 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Everyone from our nurse navigator - Latricia, to my surgeon - Dr. Williams, to my oncologist - Dr. Jones, to the Dr. office and infusion center staff - Marie, Lisa, and all the rest, to the Bay Care Fitness Center (Carillon) staff, I and my family have been so well cared for. I am delighted to say that I am 8 years cancer free.
After all my treatments, I signed up for the Power Program with Rosy at the Bay Care Fitness Center (Carillon) and that gave me so much of my mobility back. Thank you, Rosy!
In Feb 2024, I told my wife that I wanted to find a good training program to help me get stronger, despite the medication I needed to take. My wife found the Functional Movement Screening (FMS program) at, you guessed it, the Bay Care Fitness Center (Carillon). I signed up for the screening and then signed up for 10 sessions with my personal trainer, Laura Jenkins.
What a fantastic experience training with Laura! She really knew her stuff, customized the workouts for me, and most of all she was patient with me. I can see the results of my strength training in my everyday movements and activities as well as in my beach volleyball. Thank you, Laura, for helping me get stronger and healthier as that cancer diagnosis gets further and further in my rear view mirror. Thank you, also to Jennifer, Shannon, and the rest of the folks at the Bay Care Fitness Center (Carillon)!! You are a special group of people who love and care for people. Thank you just doesn't see like enough, but THANK YOU!
Next, I am going to sign up for a massage with Char at the, yes...Bay Care Fitness Center...
Read moreAfter working from home for over a year now, I decided to start looking for a gym. I was hesitant as our office has a full gym and I didn't want to pay for a membership if the day came to go back to the office. Nonetheless it became apparent I may not go back this year either. I ended up finding this gym through a social media advertisement. I never knew that the Baycare system operated a public gym, so I decided to check it out. Needless to say that I loved it. I feel that it is reasonably priced for the location, the equipment, and the services offered. They even have massage therapists on site if you want to book an appointment. The equipment is very well taken care of and the staff are super friendly. I have been going in the mornings and it is not busy at al at that time, but something tells me that because it is in a business park, and most people in office environments are still working from home, that is the reason why it isn't crowded at that time. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a nice, well maintained gym, with a lot of equipment, come check...
Read moreJoined this gym a few months back. Could never use the membership because I have a baby. My husband and I work opposite shifts to that someone can be with her. I finally decided today was the day I was going to to just walk on the treadmill. I put my baby in her stroller, go to the gym and check in. After I check in and walk to the treadmill this man says âyou canât bring that kid in here to work outâ. As a mom and as a woman struggling to lose weight thatâs was crushing. I walked out of the gym trying to calm down enough to walk back in and cancel my membership. I was subbing canceling my membership and that man that told me I couldnât have my baby girl with me just walked away while the nice woman and the deck helped me cancel. This place is only for the elderly and people who are childless. And completely unable to understand how difficult it is to workout without childcare. My baby girl wasnât bothering anyone....
