This was a review I had left La Beaute 4 years ago; “La Beaute has been such a great find! My mother-in-law gave me a gift certificate for eyelash extensions and they turned out beautiful! I continue to go for refills and am happy to give my business here.”

I haven’t been back until recently, of course due to the pandemic. I had received a gift certificate from my team at work and decided to book a facial to start off my birthday. I received a fantastic facial from Becky. She was thorough and professional. Unfortunately upon checkout, I gave them my gift certificate code to which the owner would not accept because it had expired (there was no expiration date on the card given to me). The owner thought she was doing me a favor by “only charging me for half of my service”. I work in the service industry and still continue to accept gift certificates given during the pandemic. It’s how the service industry works…accommodating the customer. I’m still so bothered by the way I was treated as the owner just giggled her way through our conversation nonchalantly. I’ve been here one other time before and it was lovely. Last Saturday 9/3 I was able to get in a last min massage which I needed because my back had been really sore lately. On the intake form I wrote most pain is in back and neck and I have some low back issues and it felt better with flexion. The massage started out great and was hitting a lot of trigger points I wasn’t ready for. It was the last bit of the session and she stretches out my back by sitting me up and pulling my arms back as she presses into my spine with her feet. Now in the moment the upper back felt good and I made some suggesting sounds when she did the low back that it was hurting but she didn’t ask me if I was ok and she kept going. Now I know I should’ve said something and I regret that I didn’t because I was in much more pain the rest of the week. But I also don’t know if my massage therapist read my intake form at all? These guys are incredible. I've never had a better massage in my life. Before this, I honestly thought massages were nice, but not very helpful. Once one of their techs got to work on me, though, the difference was obvious. Firstly, the masseuse who worked on me was able to make incredibly minute changes in pressure on the fly, allowing me to get a much firmer massage in the tougher areas of my back while getting just slightly less in more sensitive places. They also put me through some stretches that, by themselves, unwound knots in my body that I had never thought would come undone. The staff is polite, courteous, and professional, and I have never been dissatisfied with their work. It's a testament to the quality of their work that I want to come back more often, but I simply don't have to. Full marks,...
