This is an update: please read this whole review before even stepping foot in their door. I made a large purchase (over $20,000) and cannot be more disappointed. First, the delivery came well over the advertised 30 days and almost two months later, my order is not complete. I should have gone to Rooms to go for my furniture as the quality is the same and I would have had my order in a week and would have saved a lot of money. I found that it is much more cost-effective to go to specialty stores to get what's needed. For example, for drapery, go to a window treatment specialist. I realize that this might make for a slight inconvenience, but it would be well-worth it as your frustration would likely be spared. So, now, almost two months later, my order is still not complete, in addition, I have to wait for Bassett's installer to have the time to install what I ordered, that is, not until my order is delivered. I have lots more that I need to buy, but will take my business elsewhere. Overall, I regret the day I walked into this place and fed false promises.
Months later and still having problems. No one to install drapery. Looking back, From all the crap that Chelsea sold us, I lost my living room space as I trusted her too much and bought everything she suggested. I have enough furniture to open my own store!!!!! They don't refund, but I am going to do what my lawyer told me to do and if that doesn't work, off to court we go and the better business bureau will know about this and the news and I will be posting a review in the local newspaper. More to come...............Bottom line, if you want good furniture and furnishings where someone won't try to sell you everything, then not deliver, go to Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware. The saleswoman made sense of her job by telling me "that I have the best job as I get to spend everyone elses money." ...

In Nov 2022 I purchased a reclining sofa and chair and a half. My salesperson was Roger. The furniture was delivered in late Dec at which time I immediately contacted Roger to report that the chair appeared to be smaller than chairs and half we've purchased in the past. Long story short, it took Roger 5 months to address the issue by coming to my home to measure the chair. Roger told us that on custom made furniture, Bassett allows for a 2" variance and that corporate (or whomever he brought it up with) said there was nothing that could be done. I filed a report with Bassett corporate office and after going back and fourth for another 3 months we were then told that Bassett allows a 1" variance and to address it with the store manager. The store manager, Cindy, contacted me and supposedly contacted the manufacturing department. The reply was basically, "sorry Charley, nothing I can do." Bottom line is that the "variance" issue was NEVER disclosed. We've never had this issue come up before.
We're also having an issue with the sofa cushions catching on the foot rest. The repair technician has come out multiple times, but the issue remains.
Not sure what's happened to Bassett Furniture, but they've lost a loyal customer forever. Do NOT purchase furniture from Basset! The quality and customer service have sadly declined. They hold the customer responsible for the purchase with a contract, but do not hold themselves accountable by disclosing pertinent information like, "what you purchase may not be exactly...

Amy was welcoming and easy to talk to right from the beginning. Amy took the time to show us numerous options, and discuss some further customization that would really bring our vision to life. We ended up with a custom sized, absolutely beautiful couch, which has become the beating heart of our home. Amy was always patient, accommodating and communicative throughout the entire process, from the design phase to post-delivery follow-up. She went above and beyond to make sure that my (self-admitted) particular expectations were not only met, but exceeded. We have since worked with her to purchase several other pieces of furniture for various other spaces throughout our home. If you are looking for an amazing design consultant with excellent taste, and an even more excellent personality, stop by Bassett at the Rim and ask for Amy! You will not be disappointed. As an additional note, we have also been extremely satisfied with Bassett's customer service as a whole.
