Plenty of stores to browse through. Children's place has a lot of cute clothes options for fairly cheap. Good food options in food court. Under food court is play area for young kids, like under 10. My daughter is 7 and loves playing there with other kids and not outside in the heat. Has plugs to charge any devices while you lounge watching your kids. My only issue though hasn't been the case most times is cleaning crew seemed to be watching and waiting for the moment back is turned to help kids to throw away stuff even though apparent not finished with it yet and took off with my things to office. I was only away from it a few minutes both times on same day. I had my wallet with me but couldn't pick up everything just to help my daughter a moment or her friends I brought that day. But I did write management and they offered to reimburse me for food and drinks that got trashed on me. Love the commitment to cleanliness but not when it's obvious I should still be around and not done with it yet.
Edit: I am updating this because I went back and they reimbursed me for the lost food and drinks as promised and were diligent in resolving issue, which is all anyone can ask for when there is a problem. Just hoping it doesn't happen again.
I also read some other posts wanted to comment on. There has been an occasional safety issue I've heard of, though I cannot count how many times me and my daughter have gone and never seen or been a part of any kind of scare, but a mall is full of stores, which means lots of money and valuables like jewelry around. Any mall is bound to have an issue from time to time. And the "pushy" guy people are talking about is probably the sunglasses kiosk on the first floor. He can be...
Read moreThere are plenty of family restrooms/gender neutral restrooms on each floor with water fountains for drinking as well as no touch fountains with automatic sensors for refilling water bottles, but unfortunately they were all out of order. :( Hopefully they get fixed as soon as possible. I tried three different fountains for my water bottle, but they were all out of order. I found one working fountain, but it wasn't the ones made specifically for water bottles, so it was difficult to use without spilling water. As far as I can tell, it is mostly wheelchair accessible. There are elevators, escalators, and stairs just in case of emergency. I don't remember if they have railing in the restrooms. There were no vegan options in the food court that I am aware of besides drinks and maybe french fries or a boring salad. The mall is kept fairly clean from what I can tell. They have a bin to donate money to the Food Bank. I just despise malls in general, so I don't know why I'm even writing this, but it was good to see they had gender neutral restrooms. I wish the water bottle refill automatic fountains IDK WHAT THEY'RE CALLED weren't out of order that sucked 😭 I'm glad they're there, though. They should be everywhere in my opinion. I love Richard Scarry books though so this cute little ride for kids was nice. The massive parking lot is an eyesore, though, and honestly a small part of my soul withers away everytime I see it. I wish the city would turn it into something useful, possibly put a small park there or plant some trees in between parking spots to at least provide some shade and shelter for birds. A clinic perhaps? A small library? Some more bus stops and benches...
Read moreI had visited the San Antonio location this evening. I was excited because this WAS one of my favorite places to go and I had a couple grand to blow. Upon arrival I sat at the bar. Me being a female I was hoping I'd get quick service but that wasn't the case. I waited 15 minutes before getting a drink after moving my seat twice. After one beer feeling dissatisfied I invited a friend to come join me. Again, I had some extra money and wanted to have a good night. The manager sat a group next to me, which looked like some younger hoodlums or as I say "drug dealers." I said I was saving the seat next me because I had a friend who was going to be arriving any minute. The manager snickered at me and told the group that they don't have a seat saving policy. Instead of saying it directly towards me, he said it to the group. I interrupted him and told him if that's the case then I'll take my business elsewhere. Instead of apologizing he just laughed and said fine, you can leave. This is the worse experience I've ever had at this place. I closed out my tab and went to Twin Peaks. I've always recommended this place to people even though it has a bad reputation because of its location but I definitely will now advise my friends or anyone I know to not go here. Regardless if I had no money or a lot of money I should had been treated fairly. I'm not an obviously weathy person but I can afford more than most. The staff tonight was horrible. I'm very disappointed. One of my favorite place is now a place I'll...
