I come from the East Coast(Carolinas), just moved here! We have a popular Sarku Japan location in my hometown also inside a mall. When I ordered I was surprised there weren’t as many combos like our location and NO WHITE SAUCE!! I asked about it and the cashier lady was nice but told me they don’t have any special sauces at this location or she never heard of it! I was shocked! That signature white sauce literally completes any meal at Sarku Japan! Main reason why I sometimes go! I’m Lactose intolerant, but that sauce is that good! Disappointed about it, feel bad since y’all are missing out thinking the food is already good the way it is! But other than that, the food here is great, cooked in-front of you, and flavorful! I recommend you get a Maki Roll and get fried rice instead of white rice. Worth the extra $.30(Rice) and $1(Maki roll)! Can be expensive if you choose Shrimp or combos with it! But if want to save a few bucks, stay with the Chicken Teriyaki special(cheapest option) and make it a meal if you want to add a drink and maki roll included! The chicken is the most popular due to the price but also good!

What To Order: Teriyaki Chicken, or Chicken Beef Combo. I would give this place 5 stars but portion sizes seem to vary from order to order. I order extra meat and even combos with extra meat and I sometimes receive a box that barely closes, and other times a ton of rice and a little bit of meat. The food is excellent, I debate over chicken or steak, both are excellent, and even though I don't really like chicken at all, the teriyaki chicken here is excellent. Sometimes I just go with double steamed veggies and no rice. I always ask for extra sauce on my meal. This is my favorite place in the Ingram Park mall food court. My only complaint being the unpredictable portions. $7 and $13 will sometimes buy you the same amount of food.

This is my favorite place to get noods. Their chicken teriyaki with extra yum yum sauce is the best. Also the dumplings are to die for. It also comes with spicy siracha dipping sauce on the side. They also have fried rice that’s amazing but I always get the noodles. Plenty of Left overs since the portions are huge but I’d recommend getting the extra chicken for $1.99 more. Highly recommend. Sometimes the wait sucks but I promise it’s worth it. You’ll thank me later also they serve steak and shrimp but I always get the chicken. All this food was $32.50 worth every penny.

I'm honestly appalled at the service with this place. I should have stayed far away because the first time I ever came to this restaurant a friend of mine had ordered ahead of time for lunch and came to pick it up and they were closed. They were closed but there was still people in the back yet nobody would come out and talk to him or give him a refund. He waited over 45 minutes and nobody ever came to give him a refund. That should have been my first warning. But I decided to give them another go and came again and ordered three plates. The lady taking my order didn't really understand me nor could I really understand her and I waited in line for good 20 minutes and didn't even receive all of my order because she didn't ring up one of plates so I had to wait an extra 15 minutes. and on top of that the food was subpar at best. The chicken is pretty much burnt and doused in the sweetest teriyaki sauce ever. So today I was trying to be optimistic and tried them again and what do you know I asked for extra meat never once did I say extra sauce, and get charged extra sauce and get served a plate of gloop. like it does not look appetizing at all and on top of that I had the chicken teriyaki and the extra meat they put in with steak which made no sense to me. So when I went up to complain to the guy that this was doused in teriyaki he said that I had ordered extra sauce when I infacted it. And then proceeded to tell me I would have to buy another side of rice when I spent $17 on one freaking plate. Save your money and go elsewhere these people don't care about their job and the food you're going to get is literally just...

I have been going to this place for years since it even opened. After yesterday I would never go back. I want to rate a zero but forced to put a 1 star rating. Me and my boyfriend went to get a order of teriyaki chicken and steak and shrimp . While placing our order my boyfriend requested for his steak to cook longer. The cashier taking the order said no they will not cook the steak longer . We made the request again thinking probably she did not hear our request and again she says no and this time goes they don't cook the food well done on weekends per request. I then had to ask her what is the difference on the weekends . This cashier had the nerve to say it is too many customers waiting to get there order they do not have time. At this point the cashier as well as the workers behind her had smearks on there face like it was funny because we could not have our food cooked how we requested. I then told her that's not right we are paying customers just like the rest and come at least once a week and you mean to tell me you can not cook the steak longer. At this point me and my boyfriend let her know we will not be purchasing anything and she can cancel the order. I feel it was very rude and poor service on there part. They have changed over the years I remember when it was 6.00 for a plate now it's almost 9.00 but I still would go because it was good. After this recent incident we will never be back. I also plan to make everyone I know aware of there poor...
