After calling legend out to clear my stopped main sewage line on 10/31/2018 it again became clogged on 11/25 with same symptoms. I called them on 11/25(Sunday) and left a message with their answering service at 2:59 pm that was urgent to call back ASAP. I was told the manager was on the other line and would call me back . After no call back I again called aback at 4:25 and was told by the answering service they had marked it urgent and I would receive a callback shortly. Finally on 11/26 the next day our call was returned at 8:09 am. I told them the line was clogged again, Mr, Brown(the Service Manager) told me they would send someone right out and see what was going on. He sent out a team of two that indeed confirmed the line was indeed blocked again. Jesse said he would call dispatch and see what they wanted to do. After calling John at dispatch he came back to me and said there was no guaranty even though it had only been thirty days. I told him I did not agree and the work should be warrantied. He said they would be willing to clear the blockage at a discounted rate if I agreed to a $395.00 camera inspection . I declined this procedure and again stressed they should make it right as I had already payed $244.00 for this same issue .Jesse and his partner(The Service technicians) were very polite and apologized that it was the dispatchers decision. I told them no thank you and I would call again and try and speak to the owner. I called back and spoke to Mr.Brown (Service Manager). Mr Brown pointed out to me there was no warranty on this repair and it was clearly stated on my receipt. This indeed was true but again I stated I did not think the job should not be warrantied as it had only been 25 days. He said hold on and he would see what he could do. He came back to me after about two minutes and said he was sending out another technician named James and would clear the blockage at no charge. James came out and brought an industrial sized auger out and explained to me in laymen's terms what he thought and what he was going to do. He cleared the blocked and said it was now flowing like "Schliitterbahn". I thanked him for his being personable and his professionalism. We have used Legend at leaset two times before this incident and had good results. It is because mainly of Mr.Brown and James the service tech that we will continue to do business with legend plumbing.Thank you for making it...
Read moreso, this is the 3rd septic company that I've had out in 15 months for overflowing septic. They drained the septic (or did they?) (after septic guy asked to use my bathroom which I told him I was not comfortable with since my septic was already overflowing) and said I needed a restoration to my drain field, even though I told them Restoration was done 15 months ago. Restoration done by Legend Plumbing with a nickel sized ball of roots retrieved. Then the owner Brett screamed at me over the phone that his plumber should have never sent his "ten thousand dollar camera down my pipes" and that his camera had better be okay. $3,000 later and 3 weeks later septic is backing up again. I felt so sorry for the plumber sent out to do this restoration hanging his head and shaking his head listening to his boss chewing me out. Now they want more money to clean out the drain from my washing machine. What part of "my septic system is 35 years old" do they not understand? Come to find out that the leach field is only good for 30-35 years and I need a new septic system to the tune of $17,000. Buyer beware!!! Are these people really in the septic business? I think only for the money. The very fact that they charge a trip fee AND tax AND a surcharge to my credit card should have told me that they don't have two nickels to rub together. The first time I talked to Brett he told me that they had to wait a few days after septic tank pumped to do initial Restoration. When the tank overflowed again after 3 weeks he told me that the septic didn't need pumping again, but since I had a warranty they could come back out and do another Restoration without pumping the tank again. What? Nothing retrieved from that "Restoration" to my drain field. if there were zero stars available that's where I would rate Legend Plumbing. So now I'm $7,00.00 in the hole ($4,000 to other 2 companies) and need a new septic system. a one year warranty is of no use to me when you should know that my septic needs replacing and therefore you will not have to honor that warranty. Enjoy your windfall Brett and John. I hope it is shortlived. Morals and values have no meaning to...
Read moreCan I leave a 0 star? Called Friday, set up appointment for the following Wednesday. No problem. Called Tuesday to confirm. "yep, we'll give you a call in the morning to confirm the time" great. Wednesday, I called at 8:30, "yeah, I just texted the driver, you're the next service call, he'll call you. I called again at 9:30, 10:45, 11:30, each time getting the answer that they would call me, that I was on the schedule. I get a call, 2-4 pm work? It does, great. The driver will call when he's en route. 2 pm I get a call from the driver, that he wouldn't be able to fit me in until Tuesday. Well, that's a problem, since I took off work today. And I was operating on the principle that 2-4 PM would work. "Oh, well no, we have a lot of emergency calls to get in before the holidays, and we can't get you in" Right, but I set this up on Friday. And confirmed multiple times today. "Ok, no problem sir, let me see what I can do, and I'll call you back" I get a call from another number "Hey Chris, did you cancel with us, the driver says you're getting someone else to do it" No, I didn't cancel, I said that I couldn't wait until Tuesday, as I already took time off today. "That's what I thought, I'll get him on the phone" JT called back "we can do Tuesday, or Friday afternoon, but I can't do today, we don't even have you on the schedule, you didn't call before today" Yes I did. I scheduled this Friday. "Do you know what time?" Yes. Let me check my phone. 1:15, called to confirm 1:30 pm on Friday. "Oh...well we can do Friday or Tuesday. I can't do today" Well, that's a problem. I call back the main number to see where the miscommunication was. "We're switching over software systems, maybe that's it" Well, that doesn't help me any. What about the confirmation yesterday and this morning? "Well, I don't know what to tell you sir, you were in the system, but not on the schedule" So you lied yesterday and this morning or what? "Well he makes the schedule, I don't know what happened."
I've been in contracting for years, and dealt with a lot of plumbers. Needless to say I decided to go ahead and use...
