Dear Shake Shack, I just want you all to know how poorly I was treated by your franchise while TRYING to spend (definitely got a refund of all my money) hard earned money on my food.
Me: Walks in and uses the restroom. I got done and went to order my food. I got my number and sat on the bench by your doors and made a phone call. As I'm on the phone, your worker decided to stop what she was doing and greet me in the rudest way.
The worker: Yes sir, what do you need!?
Me: I kindly turned around, simply to make sure I'm not standing in front of the gentleman she was referring to.
Your worker: I'm talking to you, what you want
Me: excuse me are you okay? 🧐
Your worker: are you alright, I'm asking you what you need. You're just standing here.
Me: uhhh I need my food I just paid for. I haven't acknowledged you or asked for your help. I just stood here, so why are you coming off so rude?
Your worker: laughs and moves on to the next customer.
Only for her to say "IT'S ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH THEM FOLKS" 🧐 laughing with the customer (who happened to be Caucasian, not that it matters, but it does after the statement she made)
The manager stepped in at that point. I called my husband out of the car into the restaurant because I have PTSD and I felt weird standing there having conflict about NOTHING. The manager refused the number for the corporate department and told me "if I wanted to file a complaint or talk to someone higher up, I need to Google the number." My husband had to step in and demands him to give us the corporate number. Once I received my money back, I had to call another Shake Shack to get the correct information for someone higher up.
I am extremely disappointed that we can't simply be kind to people and continue on with our day. After waiting for someone to contact me back, I finally talked to the area manager who didn't seem the care at all. She sent me a bs gift card and that's the end of that for her. For me, DISCRIMINATION IS NOT OKAY. Please fill your establishment with caring people. I'm sure I'm not the only person this has happened to, I'm the only person to speak up. And for your area manager to send me this lousy gift card and barely wanted to apologize for how I was treated, let me know....you all probably won't care about this post either.
I'm proud to be a part of "THEM FOLKS" ☺️ please do...
Read moreShake Shack Brackenridge is clean and convenient but the food is not much better than a drive thru burger place and far more expensive.
I took 3 friends for lunch. The 4 of us had the single cheeseburgers and two added bacon to their burgers. We also had two orders of crinkle fries and one order of cheese and bacon fries. We had 3, large, drinks and one friend had water. The bill was over $60.
Since the pandemic, food is more expensive everywhere so I did not deduct stars for that. However, I found the food to be truly lackluster. None of the bacon was crisp. The burgers were small and just not impressive. The crinkle cut fries were identical to the frozen crinkle cut fries I buy at the grocery store. The cheese on the burgers was pretty tasty, though. My half lemonade/half iced tea drink was underwhelming, too. It was the tea - just not very tasty.
On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly and efficient. There is no drive thru and parking is limited but there is nice, outdoor, seating for people wanting to limit virus exposure. You will have to go inside and stand in line to order your food, though.
Despite the convenient location for folks wanting to enjoy Brackenridge Park, the Doseum, the Lions Field playground, the zoo, and other local attractions, it's not a hit for us. There are better options...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I was expecting way better from all the hype. Just like someone else said in their experience. Everything on the burger was great and even have a sauce that made it somewhat stand out from a regular burger, but the meat was crunchy, thin and didn't really have flavor. I'd expect the main thing about the burger to be the best. And I have to mention about the lemonade that says " fresh lemonade ". This did not even taste like lemonade . Let alone fresh . This is definitely a unique lemonade that they made that tastes awful . I would rather go to a cheap Mexican restaurant that has fresh lemonade . The fries seem like regular crinkle-cut fries you buy at HEB in the bag. $3 for little thing of fries that I could have bought more amount from HEB and made at home in my air fryer. So I would have to say for the expensive price and for the 15-minute wait I would have rather gone to Whataburger. I give it three stars because it is just like any other burger joint. But it is overpriced and too much hyph. Only reason why I went here is because I had a 25% off coupon to try it out. Very disappointed. This is like another in and out. And I didn't like that...
