Went here for lunch with my daughter and grandson. We arrived shortly after 11, just before the lunch rush started. My grandson had the Chicken Chipotle Parmesan sandwich with a Ceasar salad side. He enjoyed both . My daughter had the Focaccia Supreme sandwich with the Baked Potato soup as her side. She enjoyed both but declared the soup was the table winner inspite of the warm day. I had the Turkey Avocada wrap with the garden salad. My salad was a good mix of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes thinly sliced red onion, and freshly sliced mushrooms. The balsamic dressing was served on the side and was a good blend of sweet and tangy. My warp was served in a large spinach wrap filled with avocado, thinly sliced turkey and a creamy avocado dressing. It was delicious and held together to the last creamy bite. Our only disappointment we had was with the cookies. We got an assortment of six. Of those I tasted only the Coconut Cream was moist and tasted of coconut. The Butterscotch and Black sea salt had few of either and was dry and flavorless. Next time we'll try the cake. Everyone from the cashier who took our order to the young man who brought our food were helpful and friendly. We'll be going back and can see why W D Deli makes many of SAs best...

It's literally in my dating bio on how much I love WD Deli. But when I went recently, ..it broke my heart. I used to go here cause the ambiance took me away, I felt in a different world when I walked in. The handwritten menu, the mix of all the art, the creaky floors, mismatched plates. Just felt like home and unpolished in a welcoming way. When I went recently, I felt the personality gutted. Too modern. I know, I know..ppl have different tastes and I'm one person they won't change it for. But it just feels like any other sandwich place now. It's originality left somewhere. The food doesn't have the attentiveness like I remember. The tomato basil soup used to be so good, I'd wanna drink it with a straw. Lol ...but now it's just ..idk what it is. And the flies...where did the flies come from?!? Oh and the lids for the drinks, I mean.. I understand if they went plastic free and no lids. But everything is plastic, why skip out on lids? This place used to feel like it was a home that welcomed ppl in to have home cooked food. Now it feels like a white building that serves food. Try to bring back the personality, please 😢 this used to be...

I have been to this place twice. The first time I had a horrible experience. Over the weekend I started having a pregnancy craving for a meatball sandwich. I saw this place sold meatball subs on Thursdays, and was willing to wait almost a week to get my craving fulfilled. I was extremely disappointed, and angry when after ordering, and waiting about 10-15 minutes, I was told “the meatballs were not ready yet and it would be a while.” I had to get to work, and I could not wait. I decided to cancel the meatball sandwich. For a deli, to not have certain items ready a few hours after opening, especially their sandwich of the day is extremely disappointing, and unprofessional. I had a better experience the second time I went there since it was the weekend, so I had time to wait, which is why I’m giving them higher than 1 star. I ordered an egg salad sandwich with pasta salad and it was delicious. I also did their social media posting and received a free chocolate chip cookie which was...

The sandwich that I had (Chicken Chipotle Parmesan) was recommended by one of the Counter Workers. I told them that I was from Michigan and that I would eat whatever they recommended (as far as one of their specialty sandwiches 🥪...). The sandwich was EPIC! I loved it... Service wise, there was some confusion... After taking my plate (back) to the counter I asked if I was supposed to clear our table (of 7) the young lady at the counter took my plate, but told me no... That they would clean the table... Well... (As we were having a short meeting in the establishment...) I began to clear a few other plates that my party was clearing as they finished their lunches (and took them to the counter...) because no one ever came to clear the dishes away... No big deal though (because I am,both, home AND restaurant trained...). But (as an HR Director from Detroit...) I observed a lot of standing around... Perhaps there were too many people on staff that day... Just my 2 cents... ✌🏾

I was recommended to come and check out this place. I finally made my way there and excited to try it out. While waiting in line, the gentleman in front of me made a lot of changes, and the waitress seemed understanding and nice about it. When it was my turn to order, I felt rushed, I asked to change chips to pasta salad, and the cashier rolled her eyes. It was frustrating that she seemed nice 5 mins ago, but now I was a burden to change my mind. Keep in mind that I still haven't paid. My co-worker made his order, and he felt the same energy from the cashier. It was our first time there, so we were still unsure what we wanted. Why the attitude. The food was worth the attitude for today, we will uber eats or call in our order, so we dont have to deal with that type of service. After all that, my sandwich was amazing. The pasta didn't have much flavor, so I should have just stayed with the chips.

Great sandwiches, cookies are awesome, ambiance is cool and staff is always friendly. Great spot for a break and tasty food. Try the Ranger cookie and the fried bologna sandwich. **Rating Change Update** Still a great spot, we’ve been back often. Today we had a delicious pumpkin cream cheese cookie. But I did drop my score by one star today because I noticed the same thing each time I’ve gone back; how sticky their tables are. I just deal with it each time, but today I realized, this happens all the time and it’s the worst feeling. These tables have been bussed, wiped down, and “cleaned”, but they’re still gross and sticky/tacky to the touch. This goes for not only downstairs but upstairs as well. I hope this changes, it’ll be a more enjoyable experience for patrons. Thank you!
