My daughter wanted a certain design she found on the internet for prom, set her up an appointment at Sephora @ Northstar. Only to get a call the same day that our makeup artist broke her leg and couldn’t make it but they made it right and scheduled her @ the quarry. Prices were fare, for a full face for 60 minutes it was $60 dollars. Anyways, we got to Sephora an hour early because I didn’t get the email to confirm, going in we couldn’t get seen earlier because the appt in front of us was 10 minutes late herself so we had to wait after. Overall it was a stressful day but Shelly made it better when she worked her magic and got what my daughter wanted. A little problem happened along the way, that she needed a little more glue on her lashes since they were starting to fall off an hour later but a nice lady on the other side of town helped her out after I asked her to help since I’m clueless to makeup and lashes lol. But I would take her again.

First off, the Sephora employees, with the exception of the cashier, make you feel extremely uncomfortable. My daughter and I went in to make a few purchases and like we normally do we browse around. The employees were watching and following our every move which made our shopping experience extremely awkward. In direct result of this, I made a full price purchase for a "try me" product that was in its box and with the other "new/never used" products. I live 8 hours away from this free standing Sephora and was advised that I'd have to travel the 8 hourse to get a refund/exchange on this product? Just want anyone making purchases from here to know.. check your products before you leave and be aware that they are unhelpful. 1 star but 2 for the cashier.

A little disappointed after today's visit. A few weeks ago I meant to purchase Charlotte Tilbury finishing powder($48), instead I ended up picking up the bronzer that was $58. My mistake. But today I went to exchange the bronzer for the finishing powder and was only credited $28, the price of the travel size! While I purchased the product I intended on buying, I was really upset to see I was shorted $30! I called the store and was told to bring in my receipt and product. Great, but it is a holiday and I won't be able to make it in for a few days. It's an inconvenience now. Hopefully the situation will be resolved because I really do enjoy shopping at Sephora. Update to yesterday's review. So I went back today, July 5, and wow, I never felt so typecast. Not sure if it was because I was makeup free and wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but the staff at the Quarry, and the MOD made me feel dishonest about the $30 I was missing from my return. I explained the situation not once, twice, but three times. First two ladies were a little understanding and got the MOD involved, but it was the manager who made me feel like I was just trying to get something for free. At the end of that humiliating ordeal, she went on to say that I would be getting my $30 return, but also that I'm pretty much getting the finishing powder for free. How exactly is that possible? I did learn, however, there was no travel size bronzer available, but how does that make it my fault? The cashier who supposedly helped me the day before shouldn't have messed up the transaction to begin with. After my disappointing experience today, I have now learned that even minorities typecast when working retail. And from now on, I will definitely be getting names when I am being wronged. I work extremely hard for my money so I have no reason to be dishonest (Sephora is a luxury item I work hard for too). And I most definitely won't let someone screw...

This visit was by far the best experience I've ever had in a Sephora store. I was able to interact with a few advisors during my time in store and Lavondra Dee was my main beauty advisor. She took exceptional care of my needs and linked me up with the skincare specialist on shift, Nick (I believe that was his name). He was very attentive and actually listened to what my concerns were, what I've tried before, and recommended a system that fits into my daily routine. took comfort in knowing that he was recommending a brand created by an actual doctor and not one of the fancier brands. I didn't feel like he pushed products like how you find at commission-based stores.

Lavondra stayed with me throughout the entire process, including skincare, and walked me through the color correction process and matched my skin tone perfectly. I'm not exaggerating when I say I have never seen my blemishes/dark marks covered so well before. I came into the store with one brand in mind and she respectfully explained to me why that brand may not work best for my skin. More than anything, I appreciate everyone taking my concerns and time into account in their recommendations. I don't have very much time nor patience to dedicate to a 15-step skincare regiment or a 1 hr makeup application.

2 things I learned (amongst the many!): This is definitely the store location I will continue to use and I will always go during...

Overall I love Sephoras products but every time I walk into this store l feel so small and stupid. I have been yelled at twice for very small and unimportant things. I went in an asked if they have a product because it says they do online only for the girl to say “if you don’t see it we don’t have it, idk why you people don’t understand this” my reply was that it showed in stock on line and could she please check. She then looked at me rolled her eyes and walked off! Shortly after that there was some fenty mascara on an end cap by the resister (not at the fenty display) I wanted to see if this was the same mascara I always got and maybe it was a new packaging. I proceeded to open the box and pull out the tube only to get it snatched out of my hand and to be told that I needed to purchase this product for looking at it outside the box!! Mind you I never open the actual wand just the box! At this point I had enough and left!! I would rather go to the department stores or ulta cause I am not going to listen to a young child talk to me crazy and snatch things out of my hands! Sorry if your having a bad day but please it outside that door...
