I’ve been going to this park for many years. Every time family visit and for summer fun.
Well this year wasn’t that enjoyable.
So be before the nightmare started. The whole time we’re walking around the park, Im hearing insurance commercials and other advertisement being blasted. It was so loud. It was very disruptive. I’m there to have a great time with my family. Not to listen to sell pitch commercials in the background subliminally. Play music or don’t play anything at all.
We went for Fourth of July and this is why I write the review.
We were sitting in the parking lot for two hours and 47 minutes. We left before the firework show had ended. The traffic was so horrific.
And honestly, it was terrifying so many people are getting out of their cars, screaming yelling seem like they were about to break out into fights left and right. At one point teens/ young adults were on the roof of their car, making out. My sons where convenience they were having intercourse, not just making out.
There was no police ,Security or staff anywhere at any point ever. Just 100s and honestly probably thousands of trapped cars.
Thankfully, no one was injured. No fight /physical violence happened and no one pulled out a gun, which is what my kids were terrified was going to happen the whole time we were sitting there.
My son asked several times for me to please just call the police so they could help get everyone out faster. He was truly terrified. It was horrible. We were trapped and helpless.
I don’t know how they’re allowed to have the parking lots packed like that with no way out and no staff to keep the peace and order.
But it’s a disaster waiting, one of these days it will end up deadly. They know it. But are ignoring the huge safety concerns and risks.
though we have season passes, I probably won’t go back again. It’s not worth our safety.
This trip just left us all feeling like You are fish in a barrel the whole time this trip.
The Six Flag park planners are trying to sell sell sell sell. But when it comes time to leave Six Flags is done with you and leaves you to suffer hours of terror in the parking lot.
Not family fun. Not work the cost.
Thankfully one was hurt physically hurt. Mentally we were though.
Just wish my children didn’t have to experience that. it’s a nightmare we will never forget.
I know this is a run one. But it needs to be said and heard so others don’t have this traumatizing, nightmare, happen to them by this horrible park operator and planners.
Honestly, being trapped in the parking lot for just shy of three hours with hundreds of people inching their cars at people, cussing, screaming , honking, yelling, almost hitting each other. All while watching your children in the backseat asking if we’re gonna be OK and what we will do if someone does shoot, or fight. Will I be the one to go out and help them if they need CPR or anything.
Seeing My son have a panic attack, and then a hour later having another panic attack after we moved a few inches, only to have a car trying to aggressively shove its way into us the moment they got in their car, they were yelling and flipping us off.
My son, He was pleading for me to call the police to come help us and everyone else get out.
Shame on you Six Flags!! How many years you been open?? And this is how you run your parking lot! You abandon your Human customers!!
It was terrifying .
Shame on Six Flags and its OWNER !
Not family fun.

Read moreThe massive coasters are great so many thrill rides for the thrill seeker ! The natural beauty in the park is also fantastic - The wait lines that we encountered were not bad at all went on 4/26 & 4/27 ! The issue is bad staff ( straight rude ) remember kindness goes far ! Here are a few of my major concerns - the food lines were outrageous then get up to get food and the lady serving the food sneezes several times into her hand ( does not wash them ) and continues to serve overpriced trash ! The German Diner should serve as a lesson on how NOT to organize a diner - everyone is confused and the entire place is filthy ( not dirty not disgusting just straight up filth ) there is food everywhere on the tables on the floors and the lines are super confusing ) Second the cost of (2) drinks ( I did get the refill cups ) at $69.98 over $34.00 a piece and several of the machines had NO ice - and long long wait times for such drinks - finally as you will see below these machines are not serviced properly and absolutely disgusting! Cleanliness goes a long way and this can make you VERY sick if the machines are not serviced appropriately ! Photo of machine below - so we did not refill and bought two cups for absolutely nothing - as they are not refillable due to disgustingly gross machines - my second issue is many rides were down for the entire day or during several intervals during the day - nobody likes to wait in line then be told “ the rides down we will open later asked when they had no idea “ the staff are all absolutely miserable raising their voices and acting super entitled ( saw them scream at several people for not knowing where to go once they were on the ride ) inexcusable when paying an arm leg and torso for things - lockers advertised for $15.00 online $17.00 in the park ( small difference but still deceptive in practice) I bought 3 season passes & parking pass ! If I would have known this prior I would have just bought one day passes and would have chose to do something else on vacation but being it was my daughter’s birthday I was locked in - the park is not overtly dirty ( the food venders are absolutely disgusting on another level of gross ) I left the park midday to get lunch and bring it back and the kids ate in the parking lot - took me two and a half hours to go get food wait for parking and get back in but I would rather not have my children sick - I can’t believe the state has not shut them down for bad practices - not a glove or hairnet in sight - I have NO problem paying for food in amusement parks as I know before going I am going to get robbed on another level - but at least rob me with something edible - also in total if staff were friendlier and food was edible and drinks plentiful it would have been an amazing day - will not be returning as over two hours a day was spent to go get food outside the park and bring it to the parking lot - that’s crazy - I spent over four hours of my vacation on getting lunch - insane - the one In Massachusetts that I had been to was super clean and tidy the one in Arlington was also clean and tidy and ate lunch at both parks without a problem - I am rambling sorry just want people to be prepared and perhaps bring a cooler with food unless you are from out of town like we were it’s kind...
Read moreI recently went for Fright Fest and have been sitting on my thoughts for a min. I'll start by saying I haven't been in over ten years and a lot has changed. From ordering seasons passes online to the quality of service and food here, in both good and bad ways. I also understand that the owners are in debt and pushing to keep the parks open and no offense, but it is showing. As fare as the rides, they were great, but I'll stick to individual rating them moving forward. This review I had to save for my thoughts as a whole. From the get-go, I had trouble understanding the verity of season passes and took an afternoon to go out there to talk in person. The young security guard who was putting away cones slower than a sloth informed us that they didn't open for another 2 hrs. I attempted asking about the office and my issue, and all he could explain was that it's easier to order online. Even that was our issue. We said we'd be back, and he said ok. What he also could've mentioned was if we did so, we would have to pay full price for parking to do so. So we wasted time walking around THE RIM till it was time just to find out. Of course, we refused to pay 35 for general parking, drove home in 5am traffic, and made our best guess online for season passes. The issue w the season passes was really because her brother, who purchased one last year, wanted us to, but we were unsure if his included entry to fright fest as one offered for us. We'll long story long come to find out his costed the same as what we chose only changes were made from general to tiers or levels. So we ended up getting a pass that didn't match his accesabilities. And the preferred parking is nice until it's time to leave. We were parked for an hour until we could leave. Communicating with her bro in general parking, who lived 20 mins down 1604, was home by the time we exited the park. The train ride wasn't a great experience as they let everyone rush on like cattle, and if you get a seat, you're lucky. And if you didn't, there wasn't an apology, but just told to get back and keep waiting. Pretty weird experience that could've been executed better. The food I ate made my stomach hurt, my soda was flat, and the bottled water we bought towards nights end was room temp but still cost a lot. We were told by the cashier they didn't have ice even though they were in a cooler they were still room temp. The fireworks were great, but I couldn't help joking that the drones were maybe where the money went. My honest opinion, though, is that this place is becoming the new Splash Town. But we'll keep going, though, because what options do we have in San Antonio. I'll keep updating hopefully with better news. But this was my experience out the gate. It's definitely changed over the years.
Update I did purchase the Diamond season pass, and I have to say, although pricy, they do have payment options that pay off in the long run if you frequent there, which I've begun to. Kinda sucks that you have to really dig and study to understand what your benefits are. But like I said, it is worth it this season. P.s. the train entering and exiting is a lot...
