I came here for the first time today with my partner, the wait time was about 45 minutes for a table so we opted to sit at the bar. Despite the bar also being quite busy, we initially received timely service. However, it was hard to get the attention of the staff when we wanted to order something else and again later when we were ready for the check. Even though it was very busy, there were only two people behind the counter, and they seemed to be struggling to keep up with the workload. We think that things would've gone smoother for both staff and customers if there had been three people staffed at the bar.
The exterior had plenty of outdoor seating, and there were even space heaters near the tables to keep guests comfortable. Inside, the restaurant had lively, cute decor and good music. We particularly liked the glassware and ceramic dishes they used. The counters and floors were clean and well maintained.
We found the physical design of the menu to be frustrating and flimsy. The elastic string that was intended to hold the pages in place was doing no such thing, and flipping through the pages felt laborious as we found ourselves more focused on trying to keep it from falling apart than we were on the offerings listed on said pages. The concept is understandable, as it was clearly designed to allow for offerings to be easily and readily updated, but the application was just not practical.
Our food came out quick and tasted fresh and delicious. We got The Burrito as is and a half order of the brussels hash. Both dishes were satisfying, though the burrito was mostly egg, which was unfortunate as the little bit of bean and chorizo that was in there was pretty good.
The food was enough to make us want to come back, but during our stay at the bar we witnessed one of the two baristas drop the lid to a milk carton on the floor and subsequently pick it up and put it back on the milk carton she was using for customer drinks. This was pretty gross to us as we both work in food service and know that this is a big no-go. We are sure it was just an innocent mistake in part of not knowing any better, but we would hope that such a well refined establishment would have better food safety enforcement. Along with this, one of the plates we received our food on had a slight chip along the raised edge, exposing non-glazed ceramic.
While we likely will return to this location in the future, we hope that some of the things mentioned in this review will be taken into consideration and turned into action to create a better overall experience...

Yes, the food's consistently good but boy are the prices consistently high for three meals which weren't very filling came out to be $71 which is a little rich for most people and probably be our last visit. I can prepare a week's worth a meals on that kind of money. It just starts to add up especially even if you're doing it once a week. Photos of the food we had just on this day below. Christy our server was great with friendly conversation originally from Austin now living in San Antonio.
Update#1: Dec 6, 2024. Second visit party of 4. It was busy. We had a 12:30 p.m. reservation but still had to wait 10 minutes for our table. There were people waited to be seated. Business must be booming. Janet served us. She did a fine job. We had the burrito, the breakfast, avocado sandwich with egg, another breakfast dish and three coffee drinks. All the food was excellent same as the first time. It's a little on the pricey side at $70+ so based on that I would give it an overall strong 4.5 đs. I would have to say now based on the experience it's better than Snooze an A.M. Eatery off of Huebner/I-10 and Lova Cafe at 19202 Stone Oak Parkway. The food is just a notch above with nice setting, music and atmosphere. Looks like the place can be closed off with some sectional doors for special functions and they have a full bar. Highly recommend as there were older couples as well as young and groups of friends.

First time eating here Mar 8, 2024. I had the strawberry French toast and they were amazing. Best I've ever had seriously and I've eaten a lot (I'm fat). The bread was about 1.25 in thick. Pancakes: I don't know they didn't come out right or they were made with something strange tasting but they were not very good. Couldn't be finished by another person in our party. Therefore, the 4â rating. Price of pancakes and two eggs were removed from final bill by manager đ.
The waffle with chicken sausage were tasty and a fried chicken sandwich which was okay for me can be made at home with fries. The best she ever had. A strawberry drink non-alcoholic and two coffee lattes...delicious!
Our waiter was the best part introducing himself and talked about the menu with enthusiasm. Professional! Recommended! They brought out two bottles of water with ice. Overall, a little on the expensive side $15+ each dish plus extra for sausage links, hash browns, etc. Total $70+ for...
Read moreI was hesitant to leave a bad review because I really wanted to enjoy this place and I had met the owners a while back when they were still operating out of a food truck. After I left the review the silent partner (Daniel ) that I have never met before reached out to me to vent his frustrations that we did not give the manager of the shift an opportunity to fix the issue and emphasized that writing an honest review is not what friends would do and then asked that we not dine at any of his other restaurants in the future ( as if there was any intention to do so ). Given the absolutely horrible reviews of all of the other locations I felt compelled to expand upon my previous review about the experience of being harassed by silent partner. For clarity I have met Eddie and his wife and they were very sweet and supportive. Daniel seemed very upset that I had suggested franchise brunch locations would be more consistent and offer better quality of service and that I should support local business. The sad reality is that local business should do better and represent our city better instead of expanding outside of their means to provide a quality local meal. Its difficult to support a local business when the service is a miss and the food was disappointing. I lead my initial review with hopes that they would take the feedback in a constructive way and address the issues but Daniel did nothing but make excuses and speak combative and condescendingly to me over the phone. The best part of my experience here was getting my money back. With a partner like him in business I can see why all of the locations have such bad reviews. The location at hemisfair hasn't had a review above 1 star in several months and I can understand why. I pray for the sake of Eddie and his family that they can turn things around but with behavior and service like that its hard to imagine the becoming a reality. I will gladly take my business and support to other restaurants :) Id be mildly upset if the food and drinks were something to...
