Superman Krypton Coaster & Adjacent Gift Shop – Thrills and Comfort in One Stop
The Superman Krypton Coaster is undeniably one of the standout attractions at the park. As one of the tallest and fastest floorless coasters in the country, it offers a dynamic ride experience with a dramatic drop off the cliffside, smooth inversions, and impressive pacing throughout. It’s a high-adrenaline thrill that coaster enthusiasts will appreciate, though it may be a bit overwhelming for more casual riders or younger guests. Wait times can vary significantly—during peak hours, be prepared for a longer line—but the ride typically delivers on its reputation.
What adds real value to the experience is the gift shop conveniently located near the exit of the ride. It’s exceptionally clean, well-organized, and fully air-conditioned, making it a perfect place to cool down after your coaster run. The merchandise selection is surprisingly well-rounded, offering everything from Superman-themed collectibles and plush souvenirs to practical items like bottled water, sunscreen, and even over-the-counter headache relief. For guests experiencing minor discomfort—especially in the heat—this store is one of the few places in the park where you can find essential medication for purchase. Just keep in mind, unless it’s a genuine medical emergency, the park won’t provide these items for free.
Souvenir pricing falls within the standard theme park range, typically between $15 and $20, depending on the item. While not inexpensive, the quality and branding of the merchandise are well above average, making it a worthwhile stop for collectors or anyone wanting a memento from the ride. Staff are generally helpful and attentive, and the overall atmosphere of the store is calm and inviting compared to the hustle and bustle of the park outside.
In summary, the Superman Krypton Coaster offers a world-class thrill ride, and the nearby gift shop serves as a refreshing and practical follow-up. Whether you’re looking to cool off, grab a unique souvenir, or pick up something to help you feel better, this spot is well...
Read moreThis is by far the best B&M floorless coaster I've ever ridden! The setting makes this ride special. It takes the quarry wall to it's advantage and it creates a very cool layout. The drop is really cool. You don't feel like you are very high until you dive right off the wall. The vertical loop is massive and pull some decent positive g forces. Then you hop up on the wall again to do a small helix, followed by another big drop off the wall. The zero g roll is just as whippy as all the other floorless coasters out there, its definitely one of the standout moments on the ride. The cobra roll is fine, it has mild whip. The mid-course break run does not slow you down at all and the drop off of it is awesome. The final two corkscrews give great whip. Overall it is a great roller coaster and you will never find a floorless coaster with this cool of a setting anywhere else in the world. This is a must ride...
Read moreWhat can I say? It's a B&M! If you're new to roller coasting, B&M are known for their glass smooth track designs, fairly unimaginative layouts (they used to be cutting edge, but have since become so similar) and forceful high speeds. This coaster is spectacular in several ways, 1. It's location and use of the quarry walls, 2, it's intense speeds and silky transitions. 3. It's got a pretty good layout, and the mcbr (mid course break run) doesn't kill it's momentum too much. Not a lot of air time, but you don't really need it on a coaster of this type.
The vertical loop is nice, but the interlocking corkscrews towards the end are my favorite part. The camel back is one of the smoothest I've ever experienced and the first drop is just pure heaven with that closeness to the quarry wall. This is a gorgeous ride with some great photo opp locations. Not for the...
