I do not like leaving bad reviews on small businesses. Especially when they support minority communities.
For anybody going to the drag brunch events: do not go to the event without eating first, and be advised there is no bar. We had never gone to this venue before and tried calling to clarify some things a couple times but the phone was never picked up.
We reserved a table; don't bother. There's plenty of seating and it's not worth it. 70 dollars for a table includes 4 seats and 8 drinks. The"drinks" are sodas and whiskey tea/white claw. The guy in front of me bought a water bottle and 2 cans for 13 dollars. I was told they weren't "doing cocktails today" but seeing their set up, I'm not sure they ever do?
We went hungry, expecting brunch; they literally ran out of food like 15 minutes after doors open. By the time we got to the table with the food, they just had biscuits and gravy.
We literally had to leave, go eat at a place nearby, and come back to catch the ending of the movie they were screening before the drag show. So we missed the whole thing :(
The drag show itself was wonderful! Zero complaints. They exhibit alternative drag...

When challenged about propping up problematic people via Instagram, the Starlighter owners delete comments, limit comments, block those asking, and then creep their profiles and stories via multiple different accounts. They hide behind progressive ideas, like hosting drag shows and benefits, while knowingly enlisting individuals with multiple sa accusations to perform at their events. The Starlighter owners are also the event coordinating company PuffPuffPoms — who behaves in much the same way online: promoting known sa’ers, deleting comments, and creeping the profiles of those who speak up. Do not support this venue. (Plus it’s super small and filthy, just look...
Read moreStarlighter hosts vibrant drag shows that celebrate creativity and inclusivity, offering a platform for performers to shine. It could be a welcoming sanctuary for all seeking entertainment and community. However, this safe haven is overshadowed by the troubling revelation that the venue continues to employ an accused sexual abuser. This stark contradiction stains what could otherwise be a beacon of acceptance and joy in our community, casting a shadow over the very ideals that these drag shows aim to promote. Additionally, the venue's deletion of comments exposing these actions suggests a lack of transparency and accountability, further eroding trust and integrity within...
