Let me start by saying the inside of the home is perfect in every way. What wasn't perfect was the construction of a new home right next door. Pros: The place is very roomy. It was extremely clean. The kitchen has everything you need. The glass doors provide the most amazing views, especially when opened. The private garage was nice to have. The couches were comfortable. I felt very safe while staying there. It was nice to have the primary bedroom on its own floor. The property management was quick to respond. Cons: The construction noise made the trip not enjoyable. We listened to saws and hammering from 8 am to 5-7 pm. The construction happens right next to the bedrooms, so we definitely couldn't sleep in. We also couldn't open the sliding glass doors all of the way until they left in the evening. A couple of days, a construction worker was on a ladder working and faced right into the deck at times. There were also two times that their trucks blocked our garage. That being said, I would love to come back when the construction is over. We weren't made aware of the construction ahead of time, but they did reimburse us for part of our payment. That was appreciated. If you plan to stay at the place during the day, I would ask about the construction first. If you plan to be out all day, this place is Heaven!

We stayed at the ocean front dream located in south mission along the boardwalk. We had a great experience here for our family vacation! The rooms are spacious and the condo well stocked.there are plenty of extra blankets and towels and also storage for your things. We loved that it had only one level and a small number of stairs to the condo. (1 set of four, 1 set of three, and about six steps up to the door from shared landing.) We enjoyed watching the boardwalk and volleyball from the second floor patio. The walk to the ocean from the boardwalk is far! So have a plan for lugging beach gear. It is mostly quiet evenings and lively mornings as the volleyball players are up early. The drift team was responsive to our questions about checking, and quick to assist when the garage code needed attention as well as fixing the dryer on the same day. Groceries from Ralph’s delivery came fast. We enjoyed Blue Palm coffee nearby, and Sara’s Mexican food. We fit two cars in the shared garage but it is tight. Rent bikes if you want to enjoy Belmont park or the pier in pacific beach. Do not leave them locked up outside for a long period of time as we had one stolen on this trip. Overall it was a wonderful stay. Thanks drift team. We hope to return again!

Wonderful stay on Kolmar Street! Great location in La Jolla and a quiet neighborhood. One block walk to Windandsea Beach. You can ride a bike along the beach all the way to La Jolla Cove from the house. This is a great family home rental, but it was perfect for our two couples. The house was very clean which is one of my top priorities. We cooked dinner all but two nights during our 2 week stay, so I was very pleased with the well equipped kitchen. Our favorite area to hang out was the seating area out in the front of the house. You can see the sun go down from there. Great place for late afternoon cocktails. Also, great star gazing from the rooftop. Drift Vacation Homes were super easy to work with. Christy was amazingly helpful with getting us setup with the house rental. I had no doubt she would have gone above and beyond helping us during our stay, but we had no issues with the house and she had already sent us lots of info on San Diego and La Jolla ahead of time. Such a relaxing trip - it was really hard to leave to go back to the east coast. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Christy!

The pictures are what you get and what you get is fantastic. Direct access to the beach and easy walk to the bay to watch Sea World fireworks at 8:50pm every night. The boardwalk in front of the unit is a pedestrian highway with walkers runners rollerbladers bikes - constant reminders to get out and explore. This section of the beach features less crowds and much more sand volleyball. The beach is safe and there is heavy lifeguard coverage. Walk to Belmont Park and all the touristy stuff is a breeze. Sea World is a close drive and the unit is 15 min to airport. The spotless unit has a first class master and guest with a great bunk room. Perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen is well stocked and some basics were there including spices oil flour etc and enough coffee and laundry detergent for our stay. Appreciate that and all the beach toys chairs etc! I had one issue with the grill - lighter was out of fluid and the market nearby didn’t have one. Management delivered a new one within 2 hours. They even sent back an errant Amazon package and some personal items to my home. Nice touch and attention to detail. It is worth the extra $$ to be directly on the beach if you can swing it - and this bottom floor unit is the best one we could find. We booked directly through Drift and I recommend that. We had a long stay and they provided a small discount which they can’t always do but we appreciated it! Would stay again! Great place + great management...

What a wonderful property, location, and property management company! My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights with our daughter-in-law and 20 month old grandson. Very comfortable for all of us. Weather was in the mid-70’s most of the time and with the windows open at night we did ok without AC. I’m guessing that could be an issue with hotter weather however. LOVED all the outdoor seating. Kitchen was adequately stocked. Windandsea beach nearby is a beautiful beach and one of my husband and my favorites BUT not the best for babies/toddlers- but we knew that going in and just drove to a nearby beach for out main beach day. But the big surprise for me was how accommodating and responsive the property management company was!! We had a major flight delay on our departure date, and they were able to push the cleaning until 4 PM so that we could stay in the house until then- without me even having to ask explicitly!! That was a HUGE deal with a baby to accommodate for the day! Highly recommend Drift Vacation Homes!! One suggestion would be to stock the master bedroom bed with more pillow options. They had two sets of king size pillows on the king bed, and they were all the same firmness level. Unfortunately they were all very thick and firm and not particularly usable, at least for us. We were able to find some usable pillows in one of the extra bedrooms, but if we had been a larger group that wouldn’t have been possible and we would probably have had...

We stayed for almost 9 days with another couple and I can't say enough about the condo and the management company. The condo was exactly as described. It was wonderful! The views of the water are amazing and the location is perfect. We saw dolphins almost every morning! The condo is located right between the Pacific and Mission Beach busy areas directly on the boardwalk. So, you can walk to either easily, but it is much quieter in front of the condo both on the boardwalk and on the beach. There was anything you could possibly need inside and out. We were two adult couples and it was a great amount of space and privacy for everyone with a king bed for each couple. The primary bedroom is at the front of the condo and the other bedrooms are toward the back. Even though the primary had a bit of a more straight on view of the water, all three bedrooms had water views and the two back bedrooms had private patios. The condo is stocked with everything you could need and has lots of toys to use on the beach. The management's communication and flexibility are extremely responsive. Check in and check out was the easiest I've ever experienced. We wanted to check in early and add an extra day and they were very accommodating with reasonable rates. Christy was fantastic for anything we needed. We had an amazing vacation and we will definitely...
