Gum Saan — Local services in San Diego

I have a very unpleasant experience today (9/2/21) in this store, although this used to be a place I liked. I and my friend met the most irrational and rude saleswoman. She, according to her, had displayed the price incorrectly - 10 instead of 12 for some trinkets. The salesperson commented that it is her store and she is allowed to ask any price. We agreed that she can do that and also refuse to serve clients, but that she should honor the price displayed. It was a matter of principle, and we were amused, certainly not really arguing although she accused us of being aggressive to her (!?!). My friend accepted the price, since it didn't really matter, the sales person, too gave in and said that she would give her the price she wanted ("No, not what I want, but what you have on display," she said). My Wife, Son and I went into Gum Saan over the weekend on 6/19/2021. This little store is special and I’ve been going to Old Town since a Kid. I’m 39 now taking my kids there. The two gentlemen running the store were so pleasant to talk to. The one gentleman in particular’s energy was infectious. He was so nice and vibrant. He had nice clean cut hair combed to one side with a part line. I hope he reads this. We are from Phoenix,Arizona and I have been coming to San Diego my whole Life. The “owner” (white dude who’s attended too many yoga classes in North Park) tried to Asian-Splain to me- about Asian culture. (I’m Asian). When I called him out on it - he was trying to hit on the other employee there. So he got upset and called me “racist, and asked me to leave the store. I don’t think calling someone out on incorrect signage and culturally appropriating my actual culture is racist. I was merely correcting him. Anyway, a lot of the stones are fake and also the “myths” and saying behind them are a rip off.
