Seeley Stable is a museum in Old Town San Diego that consists of a reconstructed stable and barns that house a collection of horse-drawn buggies, wagons, carriages and other western memorabilia. It’s a “well built and sturdy” two-story, square-sided, shingle-roofed barn used to stable horses and house stagecoaches. It probably was the first structure that Albert Seeley, who operated a stage line between Old Town and Los Angeles, constructed after buying the Bandini property in 1869. Seeley enlarged the barn with a single-story rear addition, erected new sheds and fencing, and put up a windmill for pumping water. This is one of the better museums in Old Town. It is also one of the larger ones. They have a great collection of wagons, coaches and a lot of western artifacts. It is spread over two floors. I did not watch it, but they also have a movie presentation. This is definitely a must see if you are in Old Town...
