Dr. Zimmerman & Dr. Rens are the best dentists ever! They truly care and provide a personal experience. You don’t feel like you’re on a dental office assembly line. They are so skilled, discuss their plan of care with you before treatment, give you options, and listen to your concerns about your teeth, pain, anxiety/fear and your budget. Huge plusses: Besides regular dental cleanings, fillings, etc. Dr. Zimmerman has made my crowns in ONE VISIT and Dr. Rens has done my root canals. This place is a nightmare. Dr. Zimmerman has the beside manner of a parent who just got your report card and is disappointed. She stood over me berating me that I need to be more respectful to her staff (many of whom are brand new- I see why..) she left me waiting for over an hour, then gaslit me by telling me I didn't wait that long. I checked the time twice. I dont mind waiting, but being lied to really upsets me. At that point they suggested I go to a different office where I could be sedated.

Regardless of the condition of a client, an office should maintain professionalism at all times. I was there for an hour and a half & never got a cleaning. They claimed an emergency patient came in.. why not just reschedule instead of berating your overbooked office? I am still on the hunt for a good dentist. AVOID...

When I relocated to San Diego 25 years ago, a colleague referred me to Dr. Rens and I have been a patient since. At that time, I had various dental problems and Dr. Rens established a treatment plan that got me on the path to healthy teeth! Dr. Rens is thorough, gentle, and patiently explains procedures. Dr. Zimmerman has filled in when Dr. Rens is not available on the day needed, and she provides the same outstanding level of service.
