This place is in a decent area of hotel circle. But it being in a decent spot doesn't mean it's a good hotel. I stayed at this hotel for over 6 weeks. Starting off with the staff is probably the worst staff I've seen. The guy in the front with the glasses was very rude and pretended like if the place was his. Also the girl in the front in the morning the one without glasses who has attitude on the daily. They are not accommodating and they are not good people to have as employees they should be doing something completely different other than front desk. The front desk employee should be the face of the company because they're the ones that you see before you enter and the ones that you see before you leave and both those times she looked and acted horrible. The place is literally falling apart. It rained in San Diego couple weeks ago and both times my room was leaking it did not come anything they did not really care all they did was told me to hold on and the next day they switched my rooms to the room next door. This place loves kicking people out and banning them if you look at their ban list it probably is as long as Santa's list. I don't understand why they kick people out that stay there longer than a week when we are the ones that are supporting this hotel by staying there and also we are the ones that are paying nearly $3,000 a month if you stay there a month. When the front desk guy tried to argue with me saying "we don't need your money" and I responded with "no you don't need my money because you get paid weekly but the hotel does" I talked to one of my neighbors about the situation and ask her how much she was getting her night stay and I couldn't believe she was getting 62 dollars a day for 2 beds and i tried to get that rate and was told no.. I guess you have to be special to receive that rate. Overall me staying there more than a month made me understand what a bad hotel and bad workers can truly be. This place is losing guest left and right all because the front desk and the employees do not want to do their job correctly while they are getting paid.. if I were the owner of the hotel I would be strongly disappointed on my people taking money weekly home and not showing gratitude by working correct. This place will continue to get bad reviews and continue to lose its name around here all because of the employees.. when in reality the guests are the ones that bring the money in so those employees can get paid but they don't see that. After being accused after being treated wrong after being robbed by the front desk of my money I could seriously say I will never recommend this place to anybody because it's just a hotel that has been taken over by the staff that does whatever they want. I was a manager at a restaurant which I understand it's a little bit different but not really when it comes to customer service.. and I know that these people need to be managed correctly. It's a free-for-all for them they just get there easy get their money and leave.. And lastly I just wanted to tell the staff that if you do not like what you do for a living and you are unhappy with your personal life look for another job because the owner of this hotel is the one that's suffering not you nowhere will you get hired with that attitude. And don't forget that the guests are the ones that provide the money for you to keep working there, you are not above anybody and you breathe just like everybody else breathes. And I hope that if you ever stay in a hotel you get treated the same way you treated some guests here at...
Read moreStayed here as a vacation and upon arrival the person who checked us in was friendly with no issue. The only issue was paid parking, which I thought was odd.
We asked for a ground floor but none were available and the the receptionist explained that the 4th floor would be better due to less noise being heard from other guests walking on the floor so we took it, thank goodness we were close to a elevator.
We got into our room and the room was clean for the most part. The shower didn’t look like it had been cleaned from the last guest. There was visible dirt on the shower floor. There is a blood smear from where something had been killed/smashed on the wall. There’s not much space/shelves to place hygiene items in the shower. There is a place for bar soap and thats it, even though they provide shampoo, conditioner and soap, we like to travel with our own. No place to hang a rag we washed up with, so we hung it on the knob. Room was a conjoined room and we put a chair in front of the door. Walls are thin we heard our neighbors when they would talk.
The beds are not comfortable, my husband woke up with his back hurting each morning. Beds make noise when moving around the bed.
Lamp by bed is wonky. When we step on the floor it changes how the light works. I had to hit it for it to work right.
Wifi was wonky as well.
Housekeeping did not tend to our room. We had to throw our own trash. We asked for new towels and none were available at the time so I asked to get some brought to us which we were told we would. But when we arrived back to the hotel I decided to grab some myself. Our bedding has not been changed since we arrived. We asked for a plunger multiple times and never received one so we went to the front desk and asked for one and the lady looked confused as to why we haven’t gotten one yet. We got one eventually. I am sure they dont speak much/good english, which is a problem for most guests.
We didn’t have any oddballs hanging around at night which was good.
Breakfast consisted of waffles, cereal and beverages.
Just because its a cheap hotel doesn’t mean it should ignore the guests request or dont tend to the rooms especially after...
Read morethis place in unspeakable abomination and is so far out of municipal code compliance that the police and municipal authorities should condemn this facility immediately. First, there is insufficient lighting in the outside , the hallways, and throughout the interior. The entire facility s a firetrap, with archaic, insufficient exit stairs: there are four floors that are lengthy and secured by a shaky, illegal guardrail: A tragedy waiting to happen! The place is filled with (I will state honestly but maybe not diplomatically) the dregs of humanity. I stayed (huge error!) and pleaded to change rooms because two welfare recipients were staying with their two children in one room and got into a horrible fight. which extended to others in a scandalous row: Child endangerment issues that I witnessed. Drug deals going down in the dark spaces inside, outside and in the various rooms. The rooms, by the way, are smelly, and decrepit Also the ancient, loud air conditioners are noisy and dysfunctional. The toilets barely flush and are likewise noisy. The staff is incompetent and have the diplomatic skills at the level of their dysfunctional guests. It is my strong belief that there are many homeless on the premises. some staying with friends. There is prostitution taking place and there is a constant undercurrent of violence throughout. The elevator in ancient and barely functions. I personally tripped on the steps leasing to the first floor and severely banged my knees and sprained my thumb because THE AREA WASN'T LIGHTED. By the way, housekeeping is not automatic and you need to put in a special request beforehand. The towels and sheets are dirty and wrinkled, smelly and quite possibly carry bedbugs.Given the noise, the condition of the place. the ongoing incidents of social degradation and worse, the exploitation of the unfortunate victims that stay here, I intend to undertake an investigation, find out who the owner is, and report my findings to the relevant authorities with photographic and documentary evidence.. In a word, This place...
