I really want to try as many bubble tea places as possible before leaving San Diego, but there are so many places that look good to choose from! Tea's Moment was a place that looked good thag I wanted to try, and I actually ended up visiting, and I sure am glad I did!
When you first walk in, it smells like a wonderful bakery making delicious pastries, when it actually is a bubble tea place. Not only do they have amazimg drinks, but there is also some nice looking pastries (which would explain the amazing smell).
We were immediatelt greeted and the lady behind the counter was super nice and friendly!
I ended up getting "A Cup of Fruit Tea" which consisted of orange, lemon, passionfruit, and a fourth fruit which I can't recall, combined with some green tea, and of course I added boba to it because it makes almost every drink better for me! The drink was actually way better than I first expected. It was super refreshing, and none of the flavors overpowered one another. It was like all the different fruits worked in harmony together. Just a really well done drink. The boba was nice and chewy, just how I like it, however I would say that some were just slightly undercooked, but you could hardly notice.
Overall, fantastic drink with fantastic service. I wonder what will be next on my list of bubble tea places to visit...
Read moreWe have been here two times already and it is quickly becoming our to go place when we are visiting Sunset Cliffs or Point Loma. The shop is small and cute - we like the interior a lot, looks like a lot of care was put in it.
There are a wide range of choices - you can craft your own drink or use a preset. First time we tried brown sugar milk tea with popping boba - it was good, but popping boba was a bit sour and it didn't go perfectly with sweet beverage. However, it was our own decision to combine the ingredients. The other thing we tried was Almond Milk tea with boba - this one was solid and the texture of boba is nice. The second time we ordered Raspberry fruit tea with cheese cream -- that was very refreshing and unusual! A lot of cream too which is a plus for us. The other beverage was passion fruit with coconut jelly -- also quite nice.
Have their visitors card - already 4 drinks out of 10 to get a free one! Will return once in the area when we have a...
Read morereminds me of Taiwan, specifically a typical cafe in Gaoxiong, which is the most comparable place to SD in the US. It's spacious, comfortable (cushion for butts without cushion), family-friendly, pet-friendly, games for kids, a piano: it's basically a day-care center. The decoration is very DIY and neat, which is what really gave me Taiwan vibes. Yellow lights (I don't know why other shops use bright white office lights..) They know how to decorate on a budget. Clean bathroom. Clearly a family business. The owners are from Guangdong, but theyre quite different from the city people. Maybe San Diego slowed them down.. If this is the vibe of SD, I'm def lovin' it!
drinks are pricey, $6+ with boba. Boba isn't free. Standard milk tea is solid, but even at 30% sweetness, it's quite sweet. Egg puff for $5 is cute.
only downside is the location is on a random busy street corner, and you might have to look...
